Im back! Sorry folks, took a break with work and family being hectic. Going to try my hand at a living soil grow in a 4x4 tent soon. Not really my forte’ but hey why not give it a whorl? Had a nice couple plants in the greenhouse and against the shed this year. So the Lebanese is finally acclimated to our zone. That’s kinda fun. Next will be to cross it with more POWERFUL strain! And see if we can’t make a semi auto.
Welcome back Sir

Good to see you back.
Good to have you back!
Nice to be back. Im going to try an indoor 4x4 grow. I need to make some medium up though. I bought 2 cubes of promix hp w/ myco… because its available here. I bought 3 cubic feet of worm castings. Because Im kinda remote, getting ingredients is pretty much impossible locally, so I ordered 444 dry ammendments from a shop in Chilliwack and I ordered the flowering blend too, and some liquid grow and flower to aid in feeding as top dressing dry ammendments takes time to break down. I also cant get pumice here at a reasonable price so Im just going to add 6 gallons of perlite to the mix to make up for the 3 cubic feet of worm castings. Keep the compaction down a tad. Ill be filling 2x 30 gallon cloth pots… probably wait a couple weeks to let it cook up a tad? Maybe chuck some clover on it? Any help from those of you with living soil would be greatly appreciated.
Oh yeah, to get the 444 and 274 with the two liquid ferts costs 50 bucks in shopping alone! If I added a bag of pumice it doubles the shopping costs. That would make two 30 or 35 gallon pots worth 250 bucks each! Ouch!
Stoaked and set to watching! ![]()

Well the 4x4 is set up finally, wife had to do some work in the room because my kid and her boyfriend are staying for xmas.
Time to mix up the soil.
Glad to see you back at it!
Well this will be my first attempt at an indoor with promix and organic inputs. Its really hard to get stuff where I live, so the bulky stuff I had to get the best I could find within 120 km radius… that’s 120 miles return in US speak. The rest I had shipped to me.
Here’s the breakdown… 2x 30 gallon fabric pots and some bins for lettuce and spinach etc. So if I make 60 gallons of living soil, I should be able to cut it with a 50/50 mix of living soil blend with more worm castings, perlite and promix hp for lettuce and spinach? At least thats my thought. Shouldn’t need that much horse power for those?
Here’s the mix
60 % promix hp
30 % coarse perlite
10 % worm shit
That equates to
7.2 x 5 gallon pails
3.6 x 5 gallon pails and
1.2 x 5 gallon pails respectively
Mix thoroughly on tarp and then add roughly 3.4 kilos of 4-4-4 organic blend and mix even more. Let that sit in 30 gallon grow bags for 2 weeks and shovel out enough to leave space for jesus and top dressing etc. The remainder to be used for food crop. In blend mentioned above. How does that sound in a perfect world?
It’s my first stab at it so any help is greatly appreciated!
I’m excited to see this.
I’m sure you will nail it.
My guess is you will run out of room in the tent.

Is this the light you will be using?
Initially no, I have a Fluence SpydrX fixture. I’m not working this winter so I’m low on cash flow. So thats a next year upgrade. Also, the Grandmaster controller is unavailable at the moment.
Made the soil yesterday, now I have to wait until after Xmas to plant in it. The 3.4 kg of 4-4-4 have to break down a bit I’d say? Soil moisture sensor is at 32 percent. I think that’s the right zone?
My friend accross the lake has some pink kush cuts I can use for my first stab at it.
Hey I just found this. Set to watch and book marked ![]()

The game isn’t on yet until my kid goes back to University. She and her boyfriend are occupying my grow room. Im still brewing my soil too. Plus the Amazon 3rd part vender screwed me over on my 13 seed cover crop blend. So I had to order individual plant seed fro West Coast seeds… at least they will germinate
i want to start a couple kettuce and spinach tubs too. Its going to be a mini greenhouse experiment.
Hell yeah man. Can’t wait to see it all come together
Yeah me too
winter might end before O get things growing
feels wierd having a heater going and ventilation without any lights being on and no plants in the booth.
You got the Growin Jones
The only cure to this disease
is plant some seeds! ![]()

I dont even need to plant cannabis.. my buddy is a breeder and he has plants already to fo for me… I do need to plant a tomato and some lettuce and spinach though lol. And when my cover crop seed show up… plant some of those
Well today was good, neighbor gave us a 2020 Mac… she got a new one! And my covercrop seeds came in… so scooped the top 3 inches out of my 30 gallon pots into a couple 5 gallon pails… need to 50/50 that soil for vegitables. Then I mixed up the cover crop seed and spread it out on the surface. Poked the field peas down a half inch or so and thinly covered the rest ( harry vetch and a couple clovers ) with a skim of the removed soil. Then I placed my humidifier in the tent, along with an oil heater. The heater is controlled by the ai controller via a UIS block ( non ACi ) and the humidifier is on its own. So Ive simply watched the ventilation fan turning on and off frequency to dial in the humidity. So far, so good. Two circulation fans are also beimg automated as well as my Fluence light Fixture… again on a UIS block ( non ACi ). So I can expect a few sprouts in a couple days maybe? Then my buddy across the lake is prepping a couple cuts for me, both from his personal collection. From CSI Humbolt.. should be killer bud?
Getting all set up. Heck yeah man looking forward to it
