Can you confirm if these are spider mites?

Those are not spider mites, not near that big. Appears to be soil mites, not harmful, but I don’t want anything growing in my media but weed.:oncoming_fist:

I’m two weeks away from pulling everything down should I just leave them alone or use DE

At this point, you could let them finish or treat with DE, but there’s no danger just letting them finish.

Thanks I appreciate the warm welcome and I’ll just let them finish out

You could also put a yellow sticky down. Would drop their numbers a bit without using any sprays , being this close to harvest.

Welcome @cashflow , you’ve found a great place to be and share your grows with. I would personally mix a little H2O2 at a 1 to 4 ratio with water and just lightly spray the top of the soil and the planter with it. It won’t hurt the plant (just water with an extra oxygen molecule after all) and will dissipate quickly. But you should still be okay if you just let it go. I would also advise a bud wash at harvest time, just in case. Hope that helps and welcome again.

If you are growing in organic soil, these are little friends. If their numbers get out of control they can be an issue on baby plants roots. But the are mostly beneficial. They are just part of your soils ecosystem.

I have lil red earthworms, red centipedes, soil mites and other living organisms in my soil. They don’t effect anything above soil level. Also things like little centipedes keep fungus gnat populations under control as they eat the larva under the soil.

They only time I would say critters like these are an issue is if you are not growing in soil.
