Can y’all give me some nutes 101 education?

Correct me if I’m wrong here please. These are what my line of nutes suggest to use as additives to my 3 part nute line. Which consists of Grow/Micro/Bloom and Cal/Mag and Sturdy Stalk on a need be bases. Only on water days BTW.

First the Emerald Goddess just says it’s a tonic so not to sure of its purpose.

Second Honey Chome I’m assuming is kinda like the maple syrup theory making dense sticky crystallized buds.

Third Root Wizard which is microbes or good bacteria that I believe helps break down the nutes for the roots to easily eat better?

Or they just taking my money!?!?!?

Do I seem to be on the right track in assuming what the purpose of these are? And if someone could help explain more especially the Emerald Goddess?

TIA
Jbum

Sorry forgot the visuals!

Are you in hydro or soil?

Soil you should be good to go using all of those. Just don’t go to heavy.

I follow something about like this

Seedling 200ppm or less
Veg 800ppm or less
Flower 1300ppm or less

Idk about the Emerald Goddess, I don’t use that line.

Use all the stuff. You’ll whittle down over time the things you feel are necessary and the things you won’t but it’s hard to gauge right out of the gate all the things that you’ll eventually use everyday in your grow

@TDubWilly sorry I am in Coco with a little worm casting mixed in. I know long sorry and dumbasser on my part. But I consider it coco.

Yes hand watering from the top.

I don’t think so. I know some successful growers that use “living coco” recipes and do great

Then your still good to use any of those

Well if I would have known or had a bit better understanding of PH levels it may not have started out so rough lol but I think we are on track now.

Appreciate the insight brother thanks!

Np

As long as your hand watering from the top, there’s not much limit on what you can give to the plants.

When you start incorporating water reservoirs and moving water through hoses then you have to start being careful of adding organic supplements because they can contribute to clogging

@TDubWilly

12 days ago I would not have understood non of that! But now that was super informative thanks! Essentially I’m almost doing what he is. So those extra nutes and the casting should keep the coco live? Hmmmmmm

Root wizard is the only thing I use. I use the 3 part general hydroponics flora trio Lucas formula tweaked, so 2.25 different nutrient bottles. Then drykoolbloom during flower, calmag of course since coco… and I grow some beastly plants if I don’t say so myself. Just saying, sometimes less is more. I think all those terpenes enhancers and such are just sugar water if you ask me.

Sorry for ranting. Long day at work- lots of “good job” beers

So those nutes are really additives and are not a complete nute solution. You should consider getting GH Flora Micro and Bloom to use a Lucas formula and add the below as supplements.

Emerald Goddess is just a additive NPK with a mix of kelp and alfalfa along with humic acids and vitamin B. It does not contain enough NPK a for the full veg stage and it also does not contain any of the essential metals required for growth. (iron, molybdenum, boron, magnesium)

Root Wizard is your basic microbe mix to assist in nutrient uptakes. It can be used instead of hydroguard because it contains the same Bacillus amyloliquefaciens.

The Honey Chrome is just a buffered sugar solution. It does contain a small amount of PK but is mostly a microbe feed.

So ditch the Micro/Grow/Bloom I have and use GH Flora instead?

Didn’t see those. The Emerald line is complete. So you do not need the GH.
