Can I grow Auto flower using mother nature’s light on a very warm four season porch?

Question, I have a couple of 5 gallon fabric pots and put germinated seed in each. I have no lights at this time and wondered if I could get away with growing the babies in a very sunny four season porch and hopefully transfer them outside? They are auto flower. And yea I am new at this. Thank you for your helpful input!

Should be able to. It would be better to get direct sunlight when you can.

The window glass will filter the light some. May get results still but it wont be as good as if under a light or outside full time. The available light hours as we move into fall will hurt that outcome also.

Putting them on a sunny deck was my other thought. Thanks for your input!

Yo, Doc. Is it a little late in the season for outdoor autos? I feel like the short daylight hours might induce flowering? Thoughts?

Usually not with auto’s. I have been seeing alot of “missfire” autos threads lately, who have needed the nudge to flip. But as a standard, autos flower when they feel like it, even if they only get 5 hours of light. Temp is gonna be the biggest issue with outdoor autos. Started today for example, it would finish around mid to late November even here in AZ thats a chilly night time.

For sure, dude. Good looking out and I hadn’t thought about that. We actually get a bit of snow here in NM so that is definitely out of the question. Thanks, Doc.
