Can I get some trichome shots help please?

Hello everyone,
Can someone please tell me if these plants are ready based off of the trichome pics?

These are autos from a FastBuds mix pack so I have no idea what the strains are. They broke ground on 12th December, and started showing signs of preflowering on 11th January and 14th January. 12 weeks and 2 days since sprouting.

Grown in a 70/30 coco/perlite mix.

In case it’s important to mention, the plants overgrew my space and got really close to the light, some buds are even just an inch away from the light. I supercropped and tied down as much as I can.

Thank you in advance for any help

Light “shine” does not help see trichome stage.
My “coin viewer” microscope produces images ;ike below

or

these are still early (above), according to below

Those pics say you’re in most growers window of choice but how’s about a close pic of the entire plant so we can see her overall appearance and fade?

Thank you @DEEPDIVERDAVE for that information and video about the trichomes. What do you mean by ‘light shine’? The LED from the microscope, or the growlight reflecting on the trichomes?

@Fieldofdreams it’s currently lights off and I don’t have a full plant pic, but I do have of the top buds. I know it’s a disaster they got so close to the light, I’m ashamed of myself. How did these grow so tall? They’re autos so it’s not cause I flipped to flower late, and I have a 7 ft tent

Thanks for the help everyone, it really is greatly appreciated. Don’t want to botch up a harvest at the end.

I think you are in the window for a good head high.

Thanks @Storm that would be great cause the shelves need restocking. So, you think both plants are done? Cause if so I’ll start flushing them today for 5 days and chop them this coming Friday. Thank you once again for the help.

Dont waste your time flushing. It just doesnt really help. Let them eat till the end. Plain water is ok from here on out till you chop. You are where I chop our non pain meds. More intense stone. The people I know like it for anxiety. No real couchlock and a happy happy, joy joy day Stimpy. Just my thoughts.

This goes into stage harvest tomorrow.

@Storm Sorry maybe I used the wrong term. By flushing I meant just feeding them Flawless Finish (I use Advanced Nutrients) for the last few days just to make them consume the nutrients they have stored in the leaves and remove that chemical taste. Similar to just feeding plain water but it speeds up the process. It’s Advanced Nutrients ‘special flushing agent’ as they call it.

So you reckon I should start that now till Friday?

This sounds nice haha, I’d like that :face_savoring_food: I always just get stoned. Always had much more amber in the trichomes than this on my previous harvests.

Your plant looks like where mine are at right now but you’ve got healthier leaves.

Thanks again for the help. I’m always worried I’d chop too early when it comes to trichome evaluation.

I just watch oldschool then check trichs. Almost always accurate. 80-90% browned pistils. That is almost always the window for stoned. 90%-100% is about max thc normally. Same if trich checking for us. Amber med. Pure cloudy happy. Nice your nute line adds that in.

Thank you @Storm, appreciate all the help. I’ll try harvesting now then instead of waiting for more amber. Could use some of that happy happy joy joy you mentioned earlier.

Thank you also to everyone that chimed in. I appreciate the time. Happy growing everyone.
