This plant is on day 30 of 12/12. I notice these big calyx’s already, and I’m wondering if they’re seeds? I picked a couple off and they’re soft like a calyx, but I’m wondering if that’s because it’s only 30 days in, and they may actually be seed pods? I’ve never had a seeded plant before, so I’m unsure. Also never had a plant with calyx’s this big this early into flowering.
Have they showed any signs of stress recently?
No, they’ve been healthy
all along.
Its normal for the calyxes to swell during flowering but plants can do this as well from stress. If it squishes flat and feels empty you shouldn’t have anything to worry about.
I had no idea about the hairs on a female that has been pollinated shriveling and becoming darker. Great info. I love this place.
