Ahh yeah it is slightly cheaper and they have similar mixes like the 5-11-26, which require the same amount of mixing (3 part).
Although I personally went for the chemgro because of the 4-20-39 was labeled cannabis specific and I like @Bulldognuts grow in rich soil so we get to pre flower or just into flower before needing nutes, so looked like a good cheap bloom nutrient that won’t ever expire.
It’s hard to switch when you have soooooo much nutrients that works good but again I have nothing to compare it to. You asked me when I got it to let you know how it works and I think it works great, it mixes clear, dissolves super fast and easy, is super concentrated, smells sweet, and after a year of use it looks like I just opened the bag.
Thanks for pointing me in the direction of Jack’s, although I’ve heard lots about it I never really talked to anyone or sat down and compared it because early on we are just overwhelmed by so much knowledge. Going forward seeing as I may try coco in my autopots I will give Jack’s a try and compare the two.
If I want in autopots I would consider mega crop but the kelp and the stench of it I hear causes issues, ide rather mix a bit more and not have to worry about plugged lines and dirty reservoirs so often.
@Bulldognuts hope you don’t find this off topic, as your going to be needing nutrients going forward and if you consider autopots (I strongly suggest it) then to keep costs low and have nutrients that don’t expire this is a discussion that is beneficial to you going forward.
Again you can get anything that’s cheap and local but I think you will be hard pressed to find anything cheaper locally than Jack’s & chemgro, GH is also a great line I hear so it would depend on what your local bulk price of their dry nutes is.
Things in fancy bottles expires and is almost always more expensive.
