Bud rot or mold on a few colas

Did you cut away the mold? I use my hands because I can easily tell the area effected. Then I scrutinize the surrounding bud and disinfect the area. I use milk and just apply it with a paper towel. I let it sit there on the wound or were the mold spot used to be now more than a minute. Honey I heard could be used also.

Yes I cut them away also so far so good I didn’t do anything else though but I will with the milk

Yeah this is a learning experience I know what I did wrong 2 weeks ago it rain all week and I left the plants outside there you go. Water on the buds didnt let it dry out. that won’t happen again

I think its really important to disinfect the wound. Mold many times reinfects through the wound. The best defense I have found is to change the climate. Generally if I turn up the heat and cut down on the humidity I can get it out quick. But I understand you cant do that. Its a outside grow. mine are portable for that reason. Its a must for me. My plants need to finish inside.
From my outside summer grow my plants are still a week away from finishing.

In the Beginner section under Water, Humidity & Temperature you will see my inside to outside fiasco. I’ll check back with you tomorrow night.

okay not sure about this but it looks similar there is a whole section on diseases and pests with how to correct in the guides section of this site . Hope this helps but I am also new to growing and it’s the best I got for you . Good Luck

Leaf spot fungus aka septoria is something I know a little about, let me know if can I help with anything ?

I started my grow outdoor but since the summer is gone I made a indoor grow

For indoor I have two 900 watt Spectrum full spectrum LEDs are those efficient enough and my next question is when do I turn on my carbon filter & fan veg stage or flowering stage

Start your fan as soon as it won’t blow over your new transplants air flow does a couple of important things it helps to make to plant think it is in a hostile environment and it will get sturdier faster also air flow is important just for fresh air also helps to prevent mold in some cases. The carbon filter is mostly for your own discretion on smell for a indoor grow but it will also help draw fresh air into the tent . Do you have a way to create Co2 ? They use it like we use oxygen and exhale Co2 they breath it in and put out oxygen . If not what has worked for me is call exhale and is on Amazon for around 25 bucks for the large bag . It takes about a month to get working good once you get and activate the bag .

that is the bag hanging in the back of my tent

I purchased this a few weeks back.I’m wanting to use it but my brain keeps balking. The thought of it being all over my smoke makes me wonder what effects it could have on me.

Any thoughts that could ease my mind?

Patience is a virtue, young grasshopper.

There are many different topics here. Remember that sometimes it may take a few days for someone to even see the post.

I know the waiting gets difficult sometimes. There are plenty of people here that truly want to help. You just have to give them time.

Growing this plant is a trial of patience. You’ll be fine.

I offered to help you above, two minutes later I saw you post underneath and you didn’t acknowledge my offer so I didn’t know I don’t know what you want but apparently it’s not my help

Oldstoner posted a link for you and you didnt acknowledge him either, so maybe it’s not that people haven’t tried to help you, maybe you just don’t like what were saying ?

  • good luck

The mentors sometimes do things like oh play with thier kids spend time with thier family go hunting or watch the game or any number of other things on the weekends . All but a couple of people on here share thier knowledge out of the goodness of thier heart including the ones who are Admins and mentors so sometimes when you ask a question on the weekends nobody but other beginner’s see it and wrong advice is worse than no advice.
Those are the times when the free guides and the free grow bible are your best resource to fall back on . @Paranorman and @FloridaSon have both gave me good advice and I trust what they say as I am also new at this .

I have never heard of it. Sorry

I never heard of it either but I wouldn’t use it on my buds, they say you can use with tomatoes but you can wash those

The rule of thumb is not to use pesticides after the second week in flower, but I understand the frustration with pests. I’ve never use the stuff, and don’t carry it either, so Im sorry to say I can’t give any information on it.

Please, just be very careful if your in flower. You don’t want that stuff in your lungs; just another reason to wash your buds.

I always try of an organic method of pest control, or something like Spinosad or Neem Oil.

Good luck, and happy growing

Hey @Paranorman can you show a picture of your buds

the active ingredient listed, bacillus thuringiensis is naturally occurring in soil, subspecies(?) kurstaki is specific for certain insects.
insects eat it. they have alkali stomachs, we have acidic stomachs.
the B.T. blocks the system that protects the bug’s stomach from it’s own digestive juices.

it breaks down quickly, but I wouldn’t smoke it, nor the other ingredients NOT specified.

Thats the early stage eventually the leaves turn yellow light or brown and the stems become very weak the plants yields half at best all you can do is slow it down tag me in if you need later I’m heading out right now

If you have more questions I’ll be home after the beach late afternoon we’re having something called a king’s tide here and we’re actually getting some East Coast waves LOL

There’s a link above and @Hammer has a lot of info on this as well when you said that your plants were in 2 weeks of rain that’s pretty much where you got it would be my guess, I hope I’m wrong because it looks like a lot of other things but I don’t think so this time, sorry to say
