Hi Guys,
I moved my plants to my greenhouse about a month ago b/c they really love the natural sunlight. This is my first Blue Dream grow, but why are my Blue Dream buds not blue? They are nice and big but not at all blue anywhere. Thoughts?
Thank you!
Colors sometimes don’t show up until late into flowering.
I have harvested some already b/c we saw amber trichomes. Do you think it was too soon? Yikes!
Yes it was too soon. But let the rest go. You want almost ALL the white pistils to turn brown and curl up. Then start looking at the Trichomes. On the flowers not the leaves.
Thank you, Whew! I didn’t harvest all of it! The ones I did harvest were much farther along than the ones pictured but not blue.
I have grown it too. The blue, if it shows up at all, will present at the end if you have cool temps during the lights off. I think you need it like in the mid 60s. So with day in the 70s and nights in the 60s it MIGHT turn blue.
what I’m thinking and usually the case for me if they even turn. So have and some haven’t
Thanks, It is still a bit nippy here in North AL, during the day it stays 75 to 80 and at night I keep it around 60 to 65 with a heater, last night it got down to 39. You would think that would work, but I suppose I am impatient!
If its going to show colors those temps should work.
Great! Does not turning blue effect potency? For the future buds I mean, I think the first ones are probably not the best.
Oooh that’s pretty!
Thanks! And don’t worry if it stays green. The temps trigger the colors. I have a buddy that grew this plants clone, and his stayed green. We compared by smoking, and came to the conclusion, they were nearly identical.
Awesome!!! Speaking of clones, can I clone a clone without issues?
Yes! I keep mothers, and they all started as clones.
Fantastic!
Who the heck told you blue dream is blue? That fake azz pic on the ILGM seed bank? It gets the blue in it’s name from it’s blueberry parent and often turns purple when cooler weather hits, not blue.
You are nowhere near ready to harvest its too early to even be looking at trichomes. You want nearly all those white hairs to turn brown and recede back into the calyx’s then start checking trichomes. You are many weeks away that.
