Since there are no recorded studies on “medical cannabis dosage”, no one really knows the correct dosage of the treatment. What I can gather from the various sources, RSO’s dosage/recipes are from Rick himself and thereafter, I believe more ideas and suggestions of pros/cons of dosing/recipes all cames from individuals who made and tried the oil.
So, This is how I calculate the mix.
Since I want to add carrier oil approx 25% of Cannabis oil;
I weight pure cannabis oil (without any carrier oil) first. Let’s say my pure oil weights 100 g,
Calculate total weight of carrier oil = 100g/4 = 25g. 25g/2 = 12.5g
From this calculation, I add 12.5g (olive oil) + 12.5g (lecithins) to my pure Cannabis Oil 100g. By the time I mix them all, it will be 125g.
So, every 1g syringe, 25% is carrier oil and 75% is the pure cannabis oil.
You might say it is short of 1g per day. But If you extract oil from a Sativa of the plant, it may have high CBD and low THC but the oil extracted from an Indica plant has high contents of THC and the low CBD. So, if you compare to this same 1g of oil has vastly different THC contents. To perfectly measure the contents of THC, you have to send the sample of your oil to the lab and get the THC content measure. However, you cannot mail the sample to the lab since cannabis is still illegal at the federal level. If you are lucky enough to find the lab locally, I understand it is not cheap to check this level. I start off buying the seeds that are high in THC, Indica plants. Many of the seeds are hybrids, but I look for Indica species whenever possible.
Another thing to mention, when you administer it backdoor method, he may want to use the bathroom right away, but he should wait at least 30 min. So, it’s best to find the time to administer the oil after he already has his business done. he will still get the urge to go right after receiving the oil, but if he already had his movement prior to receiving the oil, the feeling he has (urge) is just sensation and he is able to hold it. I know… I know… no one wants to talk about this, but it is necessary to know as a caregiver or as a patient.

He has cancer(can’t remember which), kidney failure, and just recently diagnosed with Leukemia.
At this point he wants to quit all doctors prescribed treatments and die in peace. I have prepared RSO, Coconut oil Gummies, and I’ll be making rosin this evening after I buy the press. Going there Sunday with all the goodies and 2 books. Im not going to sell him on any of it, just leave it with hm to consider. He already smokes cannabis, so it’s not a stretch, but I think he just wants to die. Im hoping he will at least try it for the comfort factor.

@AAA I hope your friend’s dad has a fight left in him to try the oil. At that stage, positive thinking is very important. In 2017, my husband got diagnosed very rare brain cancer that metastasis to the bones. We were told he has 4-6 months live. His cancer is so rare that there are no known treatments. (only 5 known reported case worldwide and those 5 cases all patients died within 1-1/2 years after diagnose)
My husband had 5 brain surgeries, 28 days of Proton therapy, Gamma Knife Radiation Surgery, 3 different times (total 30 treatments) of radiation, Chemo Therapy and Immunotherapy… All failed. One point, doctor suggest to put him in hospice care, which I refused.
Thanks to cannabis oil, he is still here with me. Not only he is still living, he still working full time. I don’t have enough cannabis oil for him to continue his treatment, so sometimes there is a gap that he doesn’t take any oil.
And I noticed a pattern with him that when he is not on Cannabis Oil, his health decline and doing poorly. When I got him back on Cannabis Oil treatment, he bounces back. If he took the oil much earlier, his cancer may have cured. But I am grateful that he still here with me. Whether it will cure him or not, I am convinced cannabis oil is the reason that he is still here.
I hope your friend’s dad will take oil. I heard RSO especially works well on kidney, lung cancer.
It is very nice of you to this do for him. This isn’t an easy thing to do (growing, making oil, etc). You will be rewarded for your kindness for sure. I believe in the universe, Law of Attraction!
Thanks for the feedback on the medicinal oil topic. I will definitely invest in the book. My friend has MS. Another one of those horrible conditions that just gets worse and worse until you die. I hope your husband beats his cancer. Not pleasant.

I am making coconut oil with buds and trim 90/10(Majic Butter Machine). I make brownies so far and the wife says they help with her back pain She had 2 crushed vertebrae and had kyphoplasty?sp. to help. A friend who is on 3 pain meds and dont like them , I gave him some oil so he could make a batch of brownies. He also likes it quite a bit. He wants instant relief some times and asked if I could make it to vape. I have researched a little and I think the oil shown in the video with a carrier for vaping would work but not sure. Any one know?
