Bonjoyle's never-ending grow journal

I was on the phone with RX over the weekend. Pretty sure the salt pockets were the culprit. She looks really vibrant this morning. Took these before I left for work.

Thank you kindly! Yes those salt pockets were the issue. After talking with my coco rep at RX, he gave me a few pointers as to pot size. From now on it will be Solo to 1 gallon to 5 gallon and that is it.

Assuming I will see sex in the next week or so and once I see some hairs, I will flip.

Ordered another small tent. Had to give my 2x2 to my son for a friend. Since it will only be for germing and seedlings, I grabbed a 2x2x36". I will need it for the White Truffle grow off. Seeds should be here today or tomorrow and the tent should be here in another 5 days. Just in time to drop.

Still some rusty spots on the nodes right below the top

I ran 2 gallons with 5ml cal mag each and collected the runoff. She was at 1800 ppms. I ran 1 more gallon straight RO and ppms came back at 1420. I will let it ride and feed her tomorrow.

Gonna do some trimming and flip her next week. She showed me her lady parts.

My buddy just supplied the name for the GFOG and NL#5 cross.
God’s Light or GLOG.

I have been searching both threads here and on the web for “how to” collect pollen. Any help would be appreciated. Plant is outside and don’t want the pods to pop and all my goodness to blow away in the wind. Can I harvest the pods or do I have to wait until they pop? Can I pinch a pod and open it and see if it already has pollen in it or is there a maturing stage for pollen like female bud? Here is the NL#5 male.

Thank you for the tag Bud.
@Bonjoyle I have a plant that I’m collecting pollen off now. Mine is in a small greenhouse, so it’s protected from the wind. So all I do is get a piece of aluminum foil, bend the branch over the foil, and give it a little shake. After all branches are done I fold in half so the pollen is in the crease, then I tap the foil to get the flowers out. Then put in a small baggy, leave open for a day, in the house, low humidity then add a small amount of corn starch and into the freezer. About 50/50.

This is before adding the corn starch

PS I’m not sure you want to collect pods, as I want the pollen to be falling. Just my thinking though

So to clarify, you wait til the pods are open and are dropping pollen? That’s when you shake the branch and collect correct.

I appreciate you popping in and giving your advice!

I would think you would want some of them open so you know it’s viable. I would think pollen needs to be mature if you open them it may not be ready yet

You need to tag him so he will see this @Dforce

This is correct, @spankyjr1 I believe is correct with the pollen being viable
