Blue tarp or clear plastic

Its getting wet up here. Can i use a propped up blue tarp to keep the rain off or does it need to be clear?

I have a tarp but only thin painters plastic and no cash. Lol

If you are cash strapped, use what you have. Anything is better than mold and bud rot.
