Blue Dream Autoflower seedling with gray-ish leaves

Hello!

I purchased 10 seeds of Blue Dream Autoflower from ILGM, and it seems to a good start. But the second set of true leaves seems to have a slightly gray color to them. I did add 3 tsp of Mikro-Myco, Highly Concentrated Mycorrhizal Fungi to the DWC reservoir on day 5 when I transferred to the DWC. I was wondering if that might be it.

Also the DWC is a top feeder, the seedling in dry in this photo because the water is being changed, but the leaves are often wet from the top feed.

Currently I am keeping tent at 79 F. Water temp has been going up to 76 F, so I started adding ice packs once a day to at leave get water temp below 68 F for at least a couple hours. I am still researching a “tea” for the higher water temp or just buying a water chiller.

But I am a little concerned about the color on the second true leaves, and it seems grow of the seedling is a little slower than in the past.

Any expert advice on if there is something wrong here? Thank you in advance.

Pics with just camera flash are best but seems to me it’s way too wet. Needs to be less wet like get the cube from being wet for so long say 30mins then wet it let it go then wet it. Don’t keep it soaked it will get stem rot and dampen off and die.

Thanks @HMGRWN and @Mark0427 . I have turned off the top feeder of the DWC, to let the rockwool dry out a little bit. Maybe I transfered to DWC a little too early. So for now I will just turn the top feed pump on and off a couple of times a day.

Question though, I’m sure the 10 day old seedling is just starting to push roots outside of the rockwool cube and into the clay. How do I make sure the 10 day old roots don’t get too dried out?

I am soil grower so not much help here. @Myfriendis410 should be able to help better.

When I start mine I do a top feed til roots hit the nute water in the bucket. My bucket had a sprayer also not just air pump. When roots hit the water I had my sprayer set to spray for 15 mins stay off for half hour. I believe I left mine for on 15 and off 30 mins can set the feed pump u have on a timer to shoot so much nicer say a minute of spray every 30 mins or so this way u won’t have to keep turning it on and off the timer will do so. I’d say smaller let it drip for a minute or 2 to wet the cube and roots then leave off for 30 and see how it goes then have it set to come on again and repeat all day see what a day of times released will do.

Thank you @Mark0427 I do have a timer, so I will set the top feed pump / sprayer to that 15 min on and 30 min off schedule. Very helpful advice here

welcome to the community, these awesome people will help you.

You will have to deal with this. What will happen is you will play all kinds of games to get it down then…buy a chiller. It’s a big jump but the only way to keep water temps in line.

How about filling out a Support Ticket and be very specific.

Be cautious of any organic material introduced into the rez. Mykos is fine but there are a lot of products not suited to hyro.
