@Kozmoz @noddykitty1 I have a short journal started. Not really much happening there. Have a few pics. But I got the journal started late. Had a dimmer fail and the light in turn no logger worked until I got a new one from China. Took forever more than a month, mars was out of stock so they had it shipped from the manufacturer. So I didn’t really want to post some stuff with a 150 watt light in a 4x4 so I waited until I got the new light and a week later the exploded. So I have 1 that will be ready in a week maybe 2 then another after 2 more. And then 3 at about the same time. The last is about 4 weeks behind. That’s the one in the front left, with the hedgehogs

I’m about 4 weeks into flower using only natures living soil with 1 top dress of gaia green 2-8-4 power bloom and natures living soil girl power. Would a tea or top dress of biochar be beneficial at this point? I’m on my first indoor grow and trying to maximize its potency and yield while staying organic.

No, I think it least effective as a top dress. It will dry out and the microbes won’t move into the real estate as freely. I think it’s better homogenized into the mix as you would do perlite. At least container growing.

Outside in the ground or bed just throw it down and chicken scratch it in. I would say then any time is fine.

Remember never put raw char down on the plants. It’s like throwing a dry sponge into your cup of tea, then wondering where all the tea went. The char has to be charged first.

Thanks for clearing that up

Hey buddy. I use nature’s living soil internal and also topical bloom booster. I use this with a full dose of foop nutrients every feeding. Biochar is meant for internal like perlite. It’s a soil conditioner .

The one on the right w char. The ones on the left without char. Isn’t that what you said @Kozmoz?

Yes those are just lovely. :eyes:

Yup that’s correct.

Thanks much for the information. I am using build a soil to make my own organic soil. The Char is something that wasn’t mentioned a lot but I purchased some realizing how good it is for the plants. As a newbie these shares are everything to me to get things right

@noddykitty1

Can I make biochar in a “hardwood charcoal block” fueled outdoor grill.
Cook a steak, let coals heat and burn down, then smother and douse.

Planning to ru-use the current grow soil (FFHF/perlite/bio-char (some)/ and Big Foot Mycorrhizae)

Doing more and spending less, I hope…
