I use this and ive not had a coconut flavor. You could skip the oil and go with veggie glycerin.
This is the machine I use, the only plastic is on the handles and I can fit 4 cups oil and a QP of flower in the machine all at once and it performed flawlessly and I have been using it for just shy 2 years.

I have so much bud I need to make edibles out of. My friend has a magic butter machine he said I can borrow . Just a matter of going over there and getting it. I work so much and spend the rest of the energy I have tending to my garden and taking care of my animals . It’s hard to even find time to trim but I’ll get around to it. Have you used a magic butter machine before? Has anyone ? Everything is looking great by the way @BigCat420 . How did that gelato turn out by the way? I’m dying to know .

the levo C appears to be as well, not sure the differences. I’m interested at some point in turning some surplus flower into wax/dabs. is that the product of a press only? or are these machines able to do that as well? thanks for any help all!

Morning @Retiredoldguy and everyone else! Hope your having a great day! Out on a date night with @SparkUp on our 8th anniversary. Ive never used a magical butter machine @matty777 only levos. Im hoping the levo c is better than the levo 2. Just have to remember to be gentle its mostly plastic smh. Also that gelato has turned out to be the best tasting strain ive grown to date! Everyone ive let try it says its amazing

No you can make shatter with a bho setup, a press will give you rosin. I have a press and recommend it!

I think I’m going to pull the trigger and get one! I really want to make shatter but I think I’ll do this for now. good way to go through the surplus and make use of the trimmings. 180$ plus tax, not sure I’ll see it cheaper than that

I feel so out of touch with the current products/processes 
I didn’t go too much into the concentrate worlds. I just remember sometimes the wax looked like peanut butter goo, sometimes it looked like black glass candy haha

I pressed that couple harvests ago. Dabs come in many different forms and textures. From crystals to gels. Rosin is free of any chemical solvents which are often used to make shatter and the like. Its a beautiful thing.

My favorite texture is thca diamonds and terp sauce, it’s kind of the consistancy of strawberry jam when the two are combined. Sadly my rosin pressing skills arent there yet…YET! Its a heck of a thing to grow a plant, make fresh frozen bubble hash, dry it, press it, then set it on a warming plate in a jar for a month OR more to get diamonds and sauce. One day…sigh at least I have flower rosin in the meantime.
