So far, it’s a lot of waiting. Lol. But it’ll be better tomorrow, dabs will be ready… lol.
Tried to get a better shot of the fats/wax’s that got filtered out.

Probably as good as the "Shrimp Weed " we would smoke in the 70s! We got good stuff on occasion but usually shrimp weed. lol

Well, I fudged the results. I was trying to save a step, and put it in a silicone container. Too much butane was still in it. You can clearly see the lighter color of Super Silver Haze.

Pretty incredible! Im going to read up on a lot of this, then reread ur thread. I come from a world of joints and bongs. Bud introduced me to vaping. But otherwise, not gonna lie, butane extraction is over my head. Anyway, from pot in the 70s to weed in 2020-i have a lot of catching up to do! Idk what wax or dabs are. The wax form is better than cannabudder bec butane extraction is cleaner?? I think i read it leaves the chlorophyll behind.

Wax is 80-90% THCA Being that concentrated a little goes a long way.

This is where the dry ice comes into play. Super chilling the column when extracting, makes the chlorophyll not soluble in the butane. @Tenga

Butane extraction of the resins is very clean. The wax is purged in a vacuum chamber heated to 95°F At this temperature it keeps the wax soft to extract and boil off any remaining butane. It should drop to less than 10-15ppm. (Legal limit I think is around. 30)
Butane has a very low boiling point of 34°F. Which leaves the resin behind.

@ReconBravo things are in the air right now, so I likely won’t be extracting again for a couple more weeks. Moving sucks.

I’m about to go through the same thing :man_facepalming: Didn’t realize we had so much until you have to move it all :joy:

This is an ongoing refrain around the house: I pack something, wander away and think about stuff, pack another box, toke on a joint and repeat. Plus the stress of the house sale. Met the buyer today and walked him through all of the quirks of our place and seemed ecstatic to be buying and the loan is on track. So, fingers crossed for us: 33 days until ‘wheels up’. 45 days til keys are handed over.

I don’t think I ever will. Everything has been remote. Not sure I want to meet them anyways.
I’ll be the one moving all the crap, and it’s not going far, which makes it worse in my opinion.

My problem is I have too many hobbies. We’ve already moved the wood shop and the reloading. Last trip was the last of the grow crap: it’s all in Colorado. I’m just praying I don’t pull a hamstring or wrench my back before this is over.

I hope you don’t, and I hope I don’t either. I don’t think I have as many hobbies, or I’ve downsized from the first big move. I have a few extra lanterns I could toss. But I like’em.
I should probably overnight those seeds this week to you. Lol.
