Thanks! Yes I’ve been checking PH… been getting it around 6.6.
Here’s a little update. What temps should I be looking to maintain with the lights out?
Also, do you typically run the exhaust all the time?
When they’re small like that I’d still keep it as close to 70 as you can.
You don’t have to leave it on constantly at this stage because they’re so small and it’ll pull humidity out.
However, personally I keep mine running all the time at a very low setting (at this stage) but I run a humidifier to keep up the humidity and have to refill it with 2+gallons of water daily.
I too run my fans the entire grow, using humidifier to keep steady. I think the fans help make them stronger, like exercising the plants. ![]()
Here’s how they are looking today. Should I be concerned with those small spots and the yellow leaf?
No concern at all. It looks like it got splashed with water/soil nute burn IMO.
You can keep at eye on it to be safe.
That sounds right… And the small, round yellow leaf is one of the cotelydons, it’s normal for it to die off at this point. ![]()
Ok thanks..I feel better now ![]()
Well I’m worried again… couple of my guys looking a little droopy
.
I have the lights about 2 feet away and have been maintaining temps in the low 70s and rh around the same.
I measured the run off after watering today but I’m not sure what an acceptable ppm reading would be. Mine read 852. I was hoping to transplant to their 3 gallon pots this weekend.
They look slightly over-watered to me…
And you should be good to transplant either way. ![]()
@Dman1969 , @Growdoc , @Budbrother ?
Agreed ![]()
Agree on too wet. Those plastic pots actually suck. I would hit 3-5gallon cloth very soon. Just my thoughts.
Your well covered with these guys, definitely looks wet to me.![]()
I also suggest a full dry/wet cycle in the plastic. Root rot is VERY real and occurs easily in non breathable plastic.
If you’re transplanting into plastic pots drill a lot of holes
in the bottom and up and down the sides. I would go with fabric bags and you won’t have that problem. If those pots feel heavy and you didn’t just water then you’re definitely overwatering.

Thanks. My plan is to use 3 gal fabric pots. They actually looked droopy like this before watering. The pots were light and dry and I last watered them 6 days ago. I’m really trying to be careful to not over water them since I’ve killed plants like that before.
Well what a difference a day makes. They are back to life looking good today. I think they were thirsty because after I watered them yesterday they began to perk up.
Gonna move to 3gal fabric pots today
The signs of overwatering are exactly the same as under watering. So good save
as a rule of thumb a good watering will last about 3 days in soil.![]()

When you transplant pay attention to how much your bag weighs. This is your dry weight reference. Then give them a good watering and pay attention to how much the bag weighs. This will be your reference point for what a full pot will feel like.
