Bezee's 1st intentional and somewhat thought out grow (Sour Diesel and Gorilla Glue in 2x2 tent)

What’s a good level to be at?

^ This is your reference for autoflowers by growth stage.

So right now 100-300ppfd.

I’m curious what those lights are kicking out so let us know! :joy:

Use the front camera on your phone, hold it down by your cups. I know a lot of us paid the extra for access to the LED options just for more accuracy. But I assume(?) the basic one will at least give you some idea… I can go down and see how big of a difference the light setting makes… brb.

Just measured, I’m at 175

@Bezee

I am SO sorry for the delay in my “brb”!

:see_no_evil_monkey:

I got distracted for a little bit there…

Ok so I just checked my ppfd with the protone app:

1.) with and without the diffuser

2.) on different light :light_bulb: settings

I’m within 100ppfd all around basically so that should definitely give you a “good enough” ballpark I’d say. :woman_shrugging:

Now I’d test it at its max setting 12" away from the light… and maybe some even closer… see how high of a ppfd you can get with those!

And let me know what it says!

Ok, so the results are in… around 450 from 12" away and from 6" about 810

So my 3 Sour seedlings are up. Saw that this morning when I checked on them. I’ve had baggies over the cups to keep the humidity up. GG hasn’t poked thru as of yet. How they looking?

Now whether or not it’s an accurate reading at 6" without the diffuser/LED add-ons - no promises, but definitely worth a shot and with those #'s you could do it…

They’re looking really good so far tho!

You’ll wanna check the ppfd like that periodically. As the plants grow they’ll need more light but they’re also growing towards it - so we test. At least until you’re comfortable with not… :joy:

@Bezee

What’s the humidity in your tent right now?

You will still want to be around 70%rh, if possible. If you don’t have a humidifier - you can add open containers (glass/jars) of water to help raise it.

You won’t need to give them anything besides pH’d water for a couple weeks, maybe a lil cal/mag.

Had to put a humidifier in there, finally got the RH stabilized at 76%. Temperature is 74°. Should I take the baggies off the ones that have sprouted?

Yeah you’re totally fine taking them off, especially with the humidity in check.

You will gradually bring the humidity down as they veg (approx 5%/week) so you can easily transition into flower.

Feel free to keep asking questions, posting regularly updated pictures, and we will help.

I totally understand it can be overwhelming digging through the plethora of knowledge on the forum so don’t ever feel bad asking.

Heck, I probably ask some of the same questions each grow just because my memory is terrible… :see_no_evil_monkey::roll_eyes::joy:

Make sure you have good air movement in your tent at 76% rh. In a few days you are fine to lower your rh to 60-65%, once you have a set or two of true leaves

Thanks. So I can get the exhaust going at this point then?

I dont run my exhaust fan until they are 2 weeks old to keep the temps and humidity higher. But its important to have all your vents wide open without exhaust. Once they get bigger constant air exchange becomes much more important

Gorilla glue has decided to make an appearance

Im having trouble getting GG to pop.

Here’s how they looked this morning. Growing pretty fast but the GG is lagging behind but it did pop like 2 days after the sour.

Having a hard time keeping RH steady but it’s been between 65 and 75ish and temps at like 78 to lows 80s.

Dehumidifier does wonders.

Wondering if that slight crinkle in this leaf means anything {bottom left pot)? The rest have no leaves that look like this.

@Bezee I wouldn’t worry too much about it but keep an eye on it. Cannabis leaves can look a little different due to genetics, even if they’re the same strain.

As long as you’re letting them dry out decent between waterings, you shouldn’t have a problem (at this stage).

Your temps and humidity are good! :+1:

And your plants look healthy and happy to me!

(I don’t always make it to all the journals daily but I check the site daily. If you ever want a timely response from me specifically - you’re welcome to tag me @Krista)

Are you checking the ph of your water?

It could also be from your soil being a little hot for the seedling (in FFHF right)? But again, that isn’t too concerning.
