Hey @Muddduck1 It is time to top when your plants have 3-4 nodes. I usually top mine after the 3 node has fully developed. Time of day does not matter. I usually do mine with about 2 hours or so left before the dark period but again that is just me. Hope that helps. Happy Growing!
