Best methods for getting a large crop when growing in a height restricted outdoor balcony

From a fellow grower. What are the best strains to grow in a small outdoor space, northern climate, also what method can boost the crop size, SOG? or SCROG?

I would say lots of training. Things like mainlining or manifolding would yield a lot. And I also like a scrog to help support the flowers! For northern climates I would get a strain that is mold resistant because our summers tends to be short sometimes and you get more rain in october. I don’t know much about auto flowers, but I would consider them for this. A couple of years back, I had huge success outside with a Banana Kush from ILGM.

Autoflower is probably the best choice to deal with potential light pollution but they don’t respond well to harsh training. Photoperiod plants would really benefit from a head start indoors. SOG is more for clones off of a mother plant IMO and SCROG will work to keep plants low.
