The blackbird is a beautiful light brand new 750. You could have gotten the Diablo or rspec for the same price but refurbished. I’m the idiot for buying brand new when refurbished is just another word for made anew. It’s the same exact light that’s in my tent nothing wrong and you save 300 that you could save or buy other things for your grow.

The Blackbird is part of the Scorpion Series so right on up there with the RSpec and Diablo. Having shopped their lights before, getting 4 of the same type that are refurbished could take years! I have yet to see a refurbished one for that matter.
Yeah, a burple light is vastly inferior to full spectrum white light with far red, one of the reasons you don’t see many companies making them anymore. Bestva, Spiderfarmer, Mammoth, HLG, ACInfinity and all the other higher quality light companies have stopped producing them. My original light was a Bestva burple light and can’t hold a candle to a single quantum board on the HLG, let alone six of them.

Nothing like buying brand new if you got the money. Your model has 100w more power vs previous generation. Don’t forget about the 5 year warranty for peace of mind, vs the 1 year on refurbished lights. That’s an excellent light, stop beating yourself up over $350, it was a great choice

You haven’t seen one for years or wait for years for refurbished. HLG had almost every model they carry they have a refurbished one for it. Right now HLG has refurbished rspecs. For 799. And Diablo’s.

I haven’t seen a single refurbished Blackbird is what I was saying. Nothing wrong with the refurbished, but if I’m going to drop 500+ on a light might as well buy the brand new one with the full five year warranty.

Although that light is still one of the very best to have, there is no uv spectrum in the light. Uva for say is 365 to 385nm and there is no register on graph. Supplemental uv is always a option but not necessary.

I didn’t say it came with uv I said I have the uv bar that attaches to my rspec.

Last summer HLG had a 50% off all refurbished lights picked up a 600R for $314 what a score don’t know how often they do that.

Maybe I should use commas next time. I’m sorry it’s my fault I was just trying to explain what my light has.it’s an LED full spectrum with far red and uv bar. Is that better grammar. It’s uva. I know that it’s not uv full spectrum. I just wrote it out in that order excuse me. For now on I’ll be more literal.

This comment helped me decide between 350r and 350r refurbished. I was wondering the difference. But if there isn’t one, then I’ll save the extra $$ - only thing that worries me is the 1 year vs 5 year warranty
