@PurpNGold74 figured I would tag you in as well. What do you think about my last question in the post above ? Just read up so you know what I’m trying to deal with if you have any advice
That might just work… pull from the cooled room with a booster as well.
Yeah I mean in theory it should work . Maybe that will be a idea I can try out . Whenever I feel like spending another $200 that is hahaha
First indoor grow , and journal
So I know I mentioned early in this topic that I had a journal and you can find a lot of info some of you may need to make a better suggestion on how to help this situation so here is the link to it
I don’t have a very articulate answer for you - I have relocated 2 of my 3 drivers to the outside of my tent and will relocate the 3rd (voiding the warranty I’m sure) once I have enough wire on hand to do it. Until I can get said wire though, I have been exhausting all my hot air outside, and leaving the upper 1/3rd of my tent unzipped during lights on. I have 2 desk fans blowing the hot air up and out the opening in the tent and a ceiling fan going full force 24/7. It keeps the tent about 5° cooler than it did when I left the tent zipped shut right. I’m still sitting in the mid-80s when I crank all my lights up to 100% but I just lower the power on the one driver I can’t relocate yet.
I know this is a different circumstance but @Lacewing is using ice packs, a fan, and a styrofoam cooler to keep a drying tent at a good temp. Maybe he can weigh in about the logistics of that
Thanks for the tag and yep that’s pretty much it …
I’m using a cardboard wardrobe box from Lowe’s
Following this very easy article
Only difference is I place my box right near an AC vent and also put ice packs that are being rotated in and out of the freezer an inch away from the passive intakes
It took me 6 days to dry out some white widow harvested to the early side
Here you can see my average temp and Rh throughout
Also didn’t have the monitor till the day after I put the harvest in the box
Ask me anything if I can be of help
I also think about running an active intake and exhaust may be too much air movement and dry rather quickly
Every strain is different density and such to the flowers so it’s really a trial and error thing if you ask me
My bad I somehow thought you were asking about drying …
I grew outdoors so I’m worthless for indoors but I hope to change that soon
Sorry I gave a useless answer hahah
I think I’d try running one of the raxials off the temp controller cooling side as an intake drawing in cooler air. Mine (6" Raxial intake) revs up and slows back to the speed I have set on the dial when the timer switches it on, but it works pretty well for me.
Haha not useless at all! I think the principal applies regardless of what you’re trying to cool off, right!
Yes you are right …
I just feel bad chiming in on the indoor grows …
I’m still contemplating on the equipment for an indoor get up lol
Oh man, helping other people figure out indoor set up’s is like being a kid in a candy shop for me ![]()
Haha nice I’ll keep that in mind sir !!
