Any suggestions for the best priced lighting option for a 4x4x78 grow tent?
Would mainly be for 4 plants…maybe 6 with a couple of autos.

A 600W full spectrum led can do the whole grow. You can grow with low wattage, but lighting is one of those things where you get out what you put into it. As far as just getting through the process with a decent harvest, I wouldn’t use less than 600W or 1200W if you want to spend a few more bucks for 1 light. I have 4 600W LEDs in my 4x4, but on a budget I could do a good job with one.

What kind of 600watt lights are you using and your opinion of them?
I have a kingplus 600w that vegs stuff really well. For flower I would want 2 though. I dropped about $500 for some quantum boards and have never been happier

Familyman did you do the qb288 kit?
I have 3 of the qb135 v2 kits. I like separate fixtures for flexibility.

A led will work but you need a pretty strong one for 4 plants my reconditioned is this link am going to put up for you
Or get the 630 I have a 630 on a light mover it makes a big big difference covers everything I use Phillips 315 3100k bulbs from start to finish
For the money and the power you get for the price and Yield that you get is unbelievable

Just remeber that the bulbs are not included in that price and will need to be changed every year.
Yes familyman im doing alot of research a man has to when your trying to get the most bang for your buck definitely what i have to do…

I use 600w HPS/MH. They grow really tight bud but you’re going to need a solid exhaust fan to keep up with the heat. So you’ll pick up the light cheap enough but the fan will have to be up to scratch. I have the same size space and use 6” intake fan, 3speed 6” exhaust and a 8” oscillating fan above the canopy. So there’s more money on fans than in the lights for me.

Don’t buy into cheap chinese LED’s. Many including myself have made that mistake. The most important item to buy is the light! You could buy a QB 260XL kit for ~300. Check out Horticultural Lighting Group.
