Hydroponic setup, 4 X 4 grow tent, temps around 75 degrees, lights on a 16 X 8 schedule. Plant looks very healthy but no flowers yet, am I jumping the gun here?
You can put it on 12/12 if concerned but not uncommon for autos to take a while.
What’s the humidity ? And how’s the air flow. Besides that they look beautiful:deciduous_tree:
Yeah for an auto looks fat. Nice
Humidity is at 40%, still chilly out so without a humidifier that’s what I’m stuck with.
She looks good and healthy. Yeah, sometimes folks will get a stubborn auto that takes longer. No worries if you aren’t in a hurry. You’ll get more yield from her being larger.
Why the 16X8 schedule for an Auto? I’ve read usually 20/4 is better and even 24 possible. Maybe that’s just for the fastest yield? I believe the extended growth will be great for the yield! Keep us posted!
In my opinion, the longer light schedules for autos are only better for electric companies.
Cannabis needs a dark period for optimum growth. Essential processes occur during their night time.
And welcome to the forum.
So the plants will still autoflower with a 16/8 or have the plants now just become feminized? Don’t get me wrong, I like bushy, but just wonder if a 16/8 cycle could be used through the entire grow, or even pumping it up to 20/4 after flower begins?
@Shabby. They will still flower on a 20/4 schedule but the amount of light needed is based on the amount of available light during the on time.
So long as the daily light integral is met during the 24 hour period.
The light won’t cause feminization.
They would be feminized when the seeds were made.
You can run up to 20/4 but again not necessary for the most part. Most autos will do just fine on 16/8 or 18/6 for the entire grow.
I’m doing a couple on 12/12 right now and they’re rockin.
Here’s a better explanation of dli.
I’m germinating some gold leaf auto myself, urs look good and strong
