Beginning of my second journey 🤠✌️

Melon getting fatter every day ! Harvested my first ear of corn today . Was it you that said you never seen corn in pots before ? @Caligurl

I need a new phone to give the gals in the tent any real justice . I try taking pictures but it’s nothing like what it looks like . Th3 sugar leaves have a little blue-ish , purple , and even red hues to them . Really pretty. Now just waiting for the frost and they are going to be sexy as hell!!! Still nothing in size like strains on first grow but terpenes are multiple times richer and I believe will be more potent . The one black sugar does have nice thick buds almost like the zkittlz from first run but they are so dense I didn’t know bud could be so solid ! All nice n sticky .
Not sure if I’m going to turn power to my uv-r bars this week or next . Will get a better look during feeding tomorrow and make my call then .

Just a little fyi in case you want to give it a go . I googled when to harvest corn and found a little couple minute YouTube link . I tried copying but couldn’t figure it out . Anyway she said when the little silk strands atop turn from green to brown and tears easily is a good indicator. To tear a little bit of the sleeve to look at it . Depending on variety but say for sweet corn if it’s yellow then take your finger nail and pop a kernel. If it’s clear than wrap it back up for a couple/ few more days . If it’s a milky like sap then it’s ready to break off . But to be careful to not let it stay on to long cause it starts to turn pretty quickly . (You have a few days window period for best results ) Also it’s better to break off in early morning hours . :+1:

Ok I’m winding down to the last couple - few weeks here for the inside gals . I almost want to go get a new phone cause the camera on this one is dull and not doing any justice to what is front of me . Not showing the blue-ish , purple , and red hues in sugar leaves nor the near neok yellow and orange hairs and frost on buds but here’s a few shots .

Made it over to check on outside gals yesterday. Getting it ready for the transition to flower . ( At least I think it happens sometime here in August right ? Finally took a weedwacker around them to clear it out a bit . Gave em a good batch of brewed nutes . A good batch of pond water with some silica . Then a good bath of diatomaceous earth for whatever it is eating on the leaves . Purple ghost candy is past the 6ft mark . Sparkleface and snowcaine is past the 5ft and inching up to my height . Stalks are almost like my fist. So I figured with the stretch will be healthy 7-9 footers . :cowboy_hat_face:.
That’s a last minute thrown together to . Already planning next year. I figured in that chicken run I can probably fit a good 6-8 in 75 gallon pots to reach 12-16 ft 2+pound monsters of a good mildew/mold resistant strain ! We are going for monsters next year !!! Yessir !

Ohh and the smell is something beautiful already ! Without further urdue …

Harvested a few more corn cobs this morning .

Got a little bit of bug damage . Didn’t wrap it up as good as I should when previous checking to see how ripe . But no biggie , I’m sure is allot better for me than pesticides !

I tried an ear of corn last night with some pork chops , Annie’s white cheddar and shells , and a copycat recipe of red lobsters crispy brussel sprouts. Mmmm mm yummmmm ! Not sure if it’s because it’s been awhile since I’ve eaten corn , or because I grew it , and or it really was better than store bought but either way if was slamming !

Freakshow has officially started to bud ! :cowboy_hat_face:. Could be wrong but by appearance I have no doubt it will be in the baseball park of about a pound ? Supa thick stalk , big healthy roots for big healthy fruits , bushy as a squirrels tail in heat , nice node spacing … ohhh yeaaahhhh!

The blue dream that I originally pretty much was giving up on has proved itself very well and I do believe is also starting to flip . :cowboy_hat_face:

Watermelon is continuing to do it’s thing to :+1:

Had to shoot on over to other spot to give a nice silica and pk booster since other gains started flower . Sure enough they just started themselves . All my gals on on their way now .

Anyone know what this purple stuff is ? No damage to the plant . Just discoloration so it seems anyway .

Then this leaf here has a ton of little holes . I put crusher run around the gals to prevent slugs and snails but if it may be anything else you can think of let me know .

Ok so I did things a little different this time . Overnight I dropped temp and humidity as low as it would go which was around 62 f and 40 rh. Lights normally come on at 9am but I shut the cycle off . Mixed a bag of ice to 10 gallons of water , pH of 6.3 and waited till the water got to just below 60 . Idea behind this is to shock the plant and roots just enough make it think it’s dying and send a last wave of effort. ( meaning more trichomes , thc , terpenes . But not such a shock that it would damage the roots . Waited a good 3-4 hours in the dark and here is where we are now! Temp is 62 rh is 58 . Going to let hang and here in a couple hours will start trimming and throwing in the cannatrol :cowboy_hat_face:. I wish there was a way I could send a sniff of just how wonderfully pungent my house smells . :yum::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::grin:

Ok first tray is the one and only sparkleface . I’m really proud of this one . I only have a couple grows under my belt and although I thought the snowcaine would be better I still don’t have a strain yet that I wouldnt recommend, but if I had a choice of only being able to choose one strain that I could get again would be thus one here . Just have to dry/cure , and put her to the real test next .

Here is tray number 2 which fit almost all of the 1 black sugar I had . My thoughts so far is that it isn’t anything special as far as terpene profile , or loaded with trichrome, or anything out of the ordinary. But she was one of the most constant and easy plants I had . Great uniformity , very little larf, super quick and easy to clean up, really thick , decent size buds , and the most dense I’ve grown yet . I’m sure I could peg someone in the head from across the room and they’d feel it type of dense . :+1:

Now I got 5 snowcaine left . :+1:

:joy: I’m glad it’s not just me laughing about that .

Ok and after double digits of hours more i filled the other 4 trays with snowcaine . Cannatrol is stuffed and running it’s cycles. Will be ready by next weekend or so . :+1:

Only have what’s left of these plants left . So I went and bought a drying rack for the rest . Which im sure will come in handy for the outside gals harvest . :+1:
