Yep! Growing cannabis is a lot of chemistry. What are you using to adjust pH? No matter what it is, use it sparingly, maybe .5ml/gal or less to move it 1 or 2 points at a time, until you figure out what works for your h20/nute set-up.
You can use apple cider vinegar to lower pH, in a pinch.
Ok, don’t add Up if you’ve already added Down. If you add too much down then you have to start over with a new batch. Just throw it away and start fresh. Use a pipette or dropper to add it a few drops at a time till you get the hang of it. Once you know what you’re doing you’ll be able to eyeball it easily.
Hang in there @Rick3, the first time I used pH DOWN I drove it down to 2.2 in one step - WOW
After the first time it does become fairly simple. Take notes so you know what worked and what didn’t.
Getting your pH under control will definitely improve your success.
@Rick3 , be patient, after you have corrected your pH it will take a little while (I don’t know how long) for the plants to bounce back. @raustin will likely have a better idea as to how long to wait before expecting results and what the next steps are. I only know in theory because I am only 3 weeks into my first grow ever.
@Rick3, they’re still alive and that’s a good thing. As @merlin44 said, it takes about a week to see real results of fixing a bad Ph problem. As long as the new growth looks healthy then they are on their way to recovery.
Don’t worry @Rick3, as soon as you’re done with getting these guys healthy you can start a new Spring grow with all the knowledge you learned. You’ll have a nice harvest, I promise.
No, those Ph meters don’t really tell you much and are not accurate. Just keep the water going in at the correct Ph, and then you measure the water coming out the bottom of the pot. This Ph will be different than the water you put in because it filters through the soil, you can adjust it by slightly raising or lowering the Ph water that goes in. Does that make sense?
The nutrients you have should have a feeding schedule online. I’m not familiar with them, but they’re probably pretty basic. Try to find that feeding schedule at ILGM.
OK First Pic is 5 White widow, Just put them in that little pot
Next Pic is of 5 gold leaf that only 1 started, So Far
Next 1 not even sure if that was the only 1 out of 5 Amnesa Haze Auto
Next 1 is 2 Northern Lights auto
Other 2 I Think are Girl scout cookies that some 1 gave me, IDK
Ok, the first group looks a little too wet, but healthy. You must remember not to water too much, they need very little water. They are also starting to stretch so lower the light a little bit. See how they are all bending toward the light? They all look pretty good though.
What’s going on in the second group? I see one seedling in the new pods. How long ago did you germinate this group?
Third picture, this little guy looks ok.
Now in the fourth picture, these are the guys we were trying to save, right? Some are looking better than others, but they are still alive. Are you keeping them outside in the sun, or under lights inside? The one in the back on the right looks like she’s had it. I don’t think we can save her.
BTW, you really should label all the pots with the name and date started. You have so many now!
