Ironical humor from the grow gods
Photoperiod

Autoflower

Here’s a close up of BB that illustrates how tail up planting has worked out for me.

I also missed the week 3 update on Sunday so I guess this is it. Tadaaaaaaa

I’m glad you found the humor in it. You may be cursed. :joy:
The good news is you can veg it as long as you need to. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses::+1:t2:

I didn’t even mention the bugs and the plants negative reaction to the treatment. Good news is that the bugs have vanished. I have no idea what kind, I didn’t bother trying to get pictures. A couple of specks of coco dust started crawling away to hide under the leaf so I just hit ‘em with what I have on hand. Lost Coast with a little peroxide booster in the water. Turns out I was in a hurry and mixed the peroxide in at the 3:1 rate so it was basically full strength 3% peroxide with a little lost coast booster. The next day the leaves were yellowing and both looked like they were dying. I removed the worst ones from bb and left titan alone, which makes the visible difference between them appear even more extreme. Titan has a few orange blotches on the lower leaves that are scars from the mixup mixup. Got them fed this morning. 1110 ppm, 5.9

Harsh deal on the bugs. Yeah anytime you have to treat for pests especially at that young can definitely take a toll on them. They’re still kicking though so they should bounce back especially the photo. Stay on em OQ. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses::+1:t2:

Day early again. 5 weeks old tomorrow.

BB is beginning to look a lot better.

TF1 is transitioning from preflower to flowering.
A bit more compact than I would like so I did a light trim to the undercarriage this morning. I was thinking I would just let her grow without too much trimming and training. My friends here know by now how much I stick to the plan :joy:. The second pic gives a good view of the hot mess under the canopy.

Have a great Easter everyone.

Looking good bro! Man that TF1 is a bushy little thing. I don’t have the nerve to touch an auto. I do enough damage just growing them. :joy: The BB is gonna be fine. It’s already back to normal. When the TF1 finishes you even have a little extra room to let it hulk up. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses::sign_of_the_horns:t2:

No doubt! The miniature I grew last year was the same way. Thought it was just irregular growth from tripliodism (not sure that’s a real word) and stunting. I don’t think I have any other choice but to trim kind of heavy. The real trick is the timing. Photos I’d trim pre flip and then 3 weeks into flower. She’s full on flower now. The lifespan is supposedly 70-75 days which is about 5 weeks from now at latest. I’m a little skeptical about that. Got the impulse to go hacking on her asap. Concerned about stressing her again. That full strength peroxide treatment was not gentle. Probably overthinking it.

Thank you. You have a great garden over there. Very photogenic. Thanks for all the effort you’ve put into the journal.

You should be able to take a hand full off (leaves) daily without any stress at this point
start by doing the center for airflow
I do the 21 days after flip others also do a major defoliation after 4 weeks flowered

That’s what I was thinking too. Dang autos. I’m going to get to it Sunday and get some before and after pics. I’ve done substantial trimming on pretty much every auto I’ve ever done anyway. Never seemed to hurt.

I took a small handful off BB and 2 handfuls off Titan.
Before

After

Just a few low laying fans and a branch from BB. All of the largest fans off TF1 and a couple medium sized light blockers. They were just waking up and thirsty in the before set so a tad droopy. Clone prepped the bb branch and stuck it in the corner solo cup for Mrs OQ or Mystic Dragon if it pops. 6 weeks tomorrow. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Forgot to add. Ph and ppm in were 6.1 /915.
I only collected enough runoff to test from BB. Numbers out were 5.6/1090. Don’t like that 5.6. I didn’t toss the initial runoff like I did with soil growing and that I thought was the explanation for the low ph but I would expect higher ppm if excess nute salts were driving down. All previous feedings have been on the bubble between 5.9 and 6.0 so I’m guessing here but I think it’s due to not watering enough to get runoff until now. Thinking a distilled watering next time then top off with feed.

I started a BB just to make sure the seeds I sent you were okay, it’s about 3" tall lol it’s only getting about 50 ppfd and no nutes. I have to cull it one day

The small amount of leaves you picked opened up some light to the lower buds nice job

They look nice and healthy
