Balls growing on my plants /:

Sooo these little balls started growing on most of my big babies whom i thought were females (?) I know females can also have those little balls but im just not sure! They only started popping out those suckers about 2 days ago, but they have had the long thin hairs since they were really young probably end of seedling stage, so i totally thought they were ladies

Male flowers friend, no doubt. Either full male or really really early herm. The hairs you were seeing were likely the stipules at the nodes.

Here I posted this for a new grower the other day.

Where did you obtain the seed from?

@Pet_de_Chien gotcha on the nanners, I would suggest on your next grow to lower the light or dial it up. You node spacing is pretty lengthy :love_you_gesture:

I got them from nugs of different strains from different dispensaries, does this have an affect on the sex outcome? @Spiney_norman

Well that answered a bunch of questions I was going to ask.

If you got a setup and you’re serious about growing, get some seeds from a reputable source like ILGM. They might seem expensive at $10 or so a seed, but this process needs an investment of a couple months of your time, and money on your electric bill. Why gamble.

Just pulled a hermie myself. Now 4 males 1 hermie from bag seeds.

It’s a huge risk with bag seeds - where did the pollen come from? If the pollen came from a herm, the resulting plant is much more likely to be a herm.

As you just found out it is Unpredictable as to the outcome. You just dont know if it was naturally pollenated by a true male plant, or if it was stressed and hermied or was pollenated by a hermie. And in any case you don’t know what kind of seed it turns out to be. If it was pollenated because they also grow Hemp next door then you may spend 3 or 4 months growing a plant only useful for rope.
