Autopot roots exiting bottom

Bought autopot, 4 pot, 3.9 gallon system. Will be growing photoperiods in them, seems like it would be no time before roots are exiting bottom. Why no root blocking fabric with kit ? Probably wont be using soil any more and I’ll add clay balls to bottom then coco but doesn’t seem like there will be much room for coco. From top to bottom of pot is a fraction under a foot, so 3 or 4 inches of clay and 7 inches of coco, seems like that would be root bound and having roots wanting out in no time.

Didn’t it come with the copper root control discs? I just set mine up, put the copper fabric disc in the bottom, air dome and fabric covering that, then about an inch of perlite. Not 4 inches! And I use ProMix as a medium.

I’ve grown photos in 1 gallon pots before, these 3 gallon pots will be plenty big enough for large plants.

Gone through everything in box and nothing for inside of pot, paid $265. For system I would have thought I’d get everything i need. I’ll have to order them.

Did you get the plastic pots or fabric bags? The fabric pots should have came with a pot sock to go around the outside of the pot.
I would also suggest buying the airbase and not using clay pebbles. Mix your coco with perlite 50/50.

Bummer, I would contact the vender and let them know it was missing the root control discs.

My pots are square so I’m going to want the sheets, right ?

Yep, you paid for them! They are usually stuffed in with the water line and fittings, same bag. At least mine were. I got my setup for $200 Canadian, new and delivered.

I’ll do this run with perlite and the air domes, maybe get the airbase for next run, they were sold out when I ordered my system.
