Autopot fabric 5g or 6.6 plastics?

To all my autopot growers..,
I’ve been using 6.6 xl plastics and haven’t had an issue. I also bought 5g fabrics years ago and was thinking about trying them. Only issue is in the summer it’s tough to keep humidity down. My lung room in winter is around 40% humidity so I was playing with the idea of using fabrics. Can anyone tell me how much more humidity I’ll be dealing with? Wouldn’t consider them in summer but winter is coming here on the east coast. Adding humidity is easy and cheap for me but removing via dehumidifier always pops the fuses. Any input is appreciated.

I run coco/perlite fabric bags in my Autopots in 3 gallon bags. The 3 g will be a bit less humidity than the 5 g. Unless you are vegging a long time, I like the 3 g bags, plenty of room in coco. I am at lights out in 2 tents with lung room humidity at 50 or so and my 3x3 ( 2pots) is at 57 and my 4x4 (3pots) is 52. Running exhaust pretty low as humidity not a concern. I have found fabric bags pretty manageable as far as humidity, but they do add more humidity.

Ok perfect. I think that’s enough for me to give them a try. Thanks bud!!

Get the potsocks they sell, they do a good job at root control. The roots will come out of the fabric bags.

You can get the auto pots that take a 3 or 5 gallon fabric bag. I would recommend fabric as it allows the roots to air prune. I get some some pretty decent plants using 3 gallon fabric pots :love_you_gesture:

I bought pot socks and root control disc things with the 5g geo pot fabrics but never used because of humidity in the summer months. I just dropped 4 in a 5x5 two tank setup and ordered another set up for my 4x4. That’s where I’ll use the bags. Very curious how different they’ll turn out. I love the xl system 6.6g that’s why I ordered another to mirror my 5x5. Two flexi tanks and off to the races! Thanks fellas!!
