Hello all,
I recently harvested my auto flower White Widow plant, grown in a hydroponic bucket/bubbler set up, and that went pretty well. Buds could have been more dense, but not bad for a first go.
Rather than cutting the whole plant off at the base for drying, I cut off individual branches. This left me with a healthy established stump and an impressive root ball, and I couldn’t bring myself to just throw her on the compost pile. So I worked the lights back up to 20 hours over a few days and changed the nutrient mix from flower to leaf. It took about 10 days, but she figured it out and has started leafing out vigorously. Pretty cool.
My question is though - will the autoflower aspect remain after the reboot? I have no idea how this feature is obtained in the first place, so I don’t know if the stress from the harvesting- which I assume would be pretty dang stressful- might have thrown AF out of whack.
Any thoughts?
There was a topic on this earlier today and people that tried it stated it takes way too long and results were less than pleasing. It was faster to just restart with a clone or seed.
Not sure why they say it takes too long. Seems to me I have a lot more growth in a couple weeks than I would get from a seed. A clone might be a different story, but I don’t see how. But maybe down the line somewhere I’ll see what they mean.
