I’m still seeing heat stress at the canopy top and some nute deficiency/overload. I would get some run off numbers, check your PH and PPM/EC.
Ok so quick update and some pics - I’m no expert, but it seems the top was bleaching and the bottom was still very green, like you said might be the light not necessarily nitrogen.
I took the induct fan and put it on the top of the tent to free up space to raise the light.
Yesterday was feeding day so I opted to give it half the nutrients of week 1 flowering so now every feeding keeps it constant yet not overwhelming.
She definitely grew straight into the light almost before I raised it.
I did test the runoff today from yesterday’s feeding -
pH 6.68
1970 ppm
I know what the pH is and does
Not a clue what ppm or the other value represents
Ph governs how your plant absorbs nutrients. In soil, the widely accepted “target ph” is 6.5. Because your plant can absorb most nutrients through the roots at this PH. it’s 5.8 for hydro (coco coir and actual traditional hydroponic methods)
Here’s a soil PH chart from a few places around the web.
TDS/PPMs are how many particulates are in your water. It doesn’t tell you exactly what, but generally if you know what’s going into the plant, your runoff numbers measure the same ratios just less of it.
PH looks good. PPMs are high but your canopy tops look a little less fried on top. How old is she? Just judging from a visual of her, I would have the PPMS down around 1050-1200. Personally I would water only the next few feedings and to run off, she doesn’t look so bad that a full on flush. Just test your run off after each watering to monitor the PPMs and that they’re going down ![]()
Ok update fellas…
I had started a new job and wasn’t home for a couple weeks. So I had a friend watering and feeding her for me.
I’ve come back to a clearly larger plant but with significant burning on the canopy only.
This sucks, but maybe it’s not the end of the world, I just feel bad that she isn’t vibrant green and is crisping up.
So what is this issue? Is my LED too strong? She said the last 2 waterings had no nutrients, just water and CalMag- when/should I start nutrient feed again - I have general hydroponics micro gro bloom.
I can’t raise the LED any further due to height restrictions, maybe an inch or two at best if I really cinch it down - it’s been at 75-80% power - but I can dim it, the tops are crisped as y’all can see, inside the plant is a healthy green mostly.
Lower dying fan leaves is a natural progression and can be removed. I’m leaning towards heat steer from your light being to close, appears to be some fox tailing going on. Sign of your light too close ![]()
What week are these pics
