So I have 3 autos growing about 4 wks past seedling. Vlittle guy is comcompact I’ve run out of spots to tuck leaves. What should I do to this guy? I have a couple fan leaves tied down but fan leaves are so big idk what to do. So anyone who has ideas on how to do what I need to do for maximum light exposure? Thanks all
Hi there! She may be - MAY be a runt. They happen, I ought to know. Don’t do anything at this point except raise her light a wee bit to see if you get a bit more space between nodes. I don’t see any preflower signs on her yet so if you can encourage her to “reach for the stars” she will gain some height. She will also stretch, but she looks pretty little. I grew two plants that were under 20 inches tall and they both made 2 oz of fine smoke, so I’d keep her, she looks healthy.
How many nodes on that? Hard to tell theyre stacked so closely. When the lower limbs grow out it will be a much more pleasing shape.

I have 1 like that. What @Fiz said, raise the light and let her go. Here’s mine at 7 1/2 weeks from breaking soil.
You could carefully bend it over to allow light to penetrate low down ,if the stem is to hard u will need to carefully break the fibres in the stem so it will bend over a bit you really need to be careful when doing this or you can fim it aswell its sort of like topping but you only cut the top in half you dont cut it off ,and if ur not comfortable with doing this then i suggest not doing it ,and just letting it grow up ,but thats ur choice
Your right Aussie that’s why i walk mine out horizontally until I get them where i want them then i let them grow vertical using the spikes for lst

Just raised the lights about 5 inches so that should strech a little don’t want to be to far away though
If possible, even better, keep blue or veg lights lower and bloom lights higher. Plants don’t want to use over 20% blue light and absorb red much better. So a higher amount of red / less blue will give more energy the plant can use and less it wont anyway. Plants stretch more under reds too, and get bushier under blues. So its a win win, just need the gear to do it.
My light, some have a bloom and a veg switch, I use both on but if I wanted to tune it like that and make or stop stretch I would raise and lower the light and use one or the other depending…
So you let autos gro horizontal for a bit. Then let them grow out in the strech? Or do you lay over spike down and use the mainstem for your colas to grow from? This is my first time with autos and I am completely out of depth. I want to trim but so small I can’t see where too, also so m uch conflicting info on lst, trimming, hst so I don’t know. I raised lights got about 2 in growth up. Still to compact tucking like a madman just so the new bud points can mature and grow so when veg strech then flower strech should have good light to bud points. Any advice or suggested reading material would be great.
Oh ya forgot long preflower pistils beautiful white have started so I’m still in veg until a little crown full of pistils forms correct
Haha yep OK there’s several ways Of training them but I put them growing horizontal Until I get them where I want them and they won’t be touching Each other then I let them grow vertical. Example @MeEasy Got me started training them similar to this But I adopted my own style I guess He does have some great info
