Auto apple fritter smell

Growing in a tent in my closet and don’t want the smell going through the house. I have a carbon filter for it and put an winnix-5500 in the closet as well for air flow and hopefully smells. The seeds are just sprouting and I was curious if they smell really strong? I don’t want my wife going to work smelling of weed. We won’t have any clothes in the closet.

Not going to get it done. You need a serious carbon filter and a closed environment to mitigate smell. A plant won’t smell a whole lot until you get to several weeks into flowering. Avoid diesel and skunk strains if smell is a concern.

I suggest an AC infinity fan with an AC Infinity or Phresh carbon filter. A 4" fan would work great for a closet. Seal your closet as best as possible to keep air moving through the carbon filter as much as possible.

Found out about Ona and going to try that

:joy::rofl::joy: not gonna cut it. That’s more for escaping smells from opening the room. @MidwestGuy gave great advice.

Ona is a benzoyl peroxide product. Great for treating acne, useless for mitigating smell. If you want to mitigate smell, then you are going to have to use a carbon filter in a closed environment.

There are O3 (ozone) treatments for smell out there that you may run across. Avoid these as well. They are extremely dangerous from a health perspective.

I used Ozium gel to combat escaping smells back when I was closet growing. I believe at @Low uses Ona

Check the automotive aisle. It comes in both spray and gel

I’m not sure that I would trust anything stated on Rollitup. The folks there are not good information providers. The whole environment is toxic.

Benzoyl peroxide is an anti-bacterial for a very specific type of bacteria (p-acne bacteria.) Given its purpose, I fail to understand how it might be effective for odor control unless you use it as an underarm deodorant for that specific bacteria.

I’ve used a few different chemicals to try and control odor, it smells like you are hiding a smell. I place the containers in rigid exhaust pipe far away from the grow. I can’t recommend it, I was out of options. It also goes really fast. Couple weeks maybe.

That’s it exactly. I’m so glad to be running an ozone for exhausting.

I’m considering the same brother. I forgot the name but it’s a duct fan with ozone thing built in.

Mine is a 6” in-line unit. Have to take it down to clean it every few years.

I think the brand is big blue, the last one I saw. Just like you are describing but when carbon filters routinely fail, and your basement smells like a wet dank laundry mat it’s time to make some changes. Lol

I don’t even bother with carbon filters anymore. I have one for dust and debris control to the ozone. Have to crawl up in the attic to take down the ozone less that way.

One of my next investments brotha man. I kept putting my faith in those carbon filters and I can’t find cheap carbon in bulk anymore. Ozone and venting outside eventually I hope. Last run had 3 or 4 carbon filters, and hepa carbon filters with no success resorting to chemical cocktails. Gets so bad can’t even be in the area comfortably.
