Assistance diagnosing the cause of my seedlings leaves

Hi, first time growing.
My week(ish) old auto sour diesel from ice seedbank is showing really concerning signs of deterioration with symptoms like; yellowing stemming from the centre and possible necrosis/browner spots within the yellowing.
I think I’m also noticing powdery mildew.
Any advice is much appreciated

I think I overwatered her the first couple of times, as my medium (canna terra professional plus) retains water far more than I was realising. Also possibly giving her nutrients burn as I was feeding her the advised dose - which is presumably for photo periods.
The medium also claims to contain ph buffers for the whole life cycle of a plant.

Welcome to the forum!

She does not look that bad. She really does not need any feed for the first week or so if the soil does not have nutrients…but I think that soil already has nutrients in it so you should not need to feed for a few weeks… and you already corrected the overwatering.

I would not be too concerned at this point.

Good luck with your grow

Hey, welcome to the grow life :waving_hand:t5:we’ve all been here, so don’t stress too hard. This hobby can be a wild ass rollercoaster🎢
I saw you mentioned the soil claiming it’s “pH buffered for the full life cycle” that line tripped me up the first time I used soils like that too, so you’re definitely not alone. When I first heard full life-cycle pH buffered, I thought it meant the soil was gonna babysit the plant from seedling to harvest and never let anything go sideways
What I’ve learned over time is it really just means the soil is designed to help keep pH in a generally safe range as the plant moves through its stages… not that it’s immune to things like extra moisture, early feeds, or sensitive young roots. Basically: helpful? Yes…Magical forcefield? Nahhh :joy:
I’ve also had seedlings — especially autos — look kinda rough early on and then completely grow out of it like nothing ever happened. First time it happened to me I was panicking… second time I was like “ohhh, here we go again” :joy: Eventually I stopped stressing the early leaves so much and started watching what the new growth decided to do — that’s where I saw my plants thriving :eyes:
And yeah, I’ve had moments where I thought I was seeing powdery mildew early too, only to realize later it was lighting, texture, or residue messing with my eyes. When PM actually showed up in my grow, it didn’t whisper… it YELLED :scream::grimacing:I also make sure to have some Lost Coast Plant Therapy…it helps with bugs…WPM & I can use it throughout my entire grow cycle, flower included.
Long story short: early autos love to keep us humble. You’re not crazy, and you’re definitely not the first one to side-eye a seedling like this
You’re doing good, for real…you’re absolutely in the right forum to have a successful grow. And remember… there’s no such thing as a dumb question..just future “ohhhhhh… that’s what that was” moments we all laugh about later.
Sorry for the novella but I hope it helps.:grimacing:

Good luck & happy growing :seedling::sparkles:

No worries…you will lose that leaf in a couple weeks anyway. Keep an eye on new growth.
