I have a few strains I’m thinking but would like to give em the best chance
You should be able to raise your light to get them stretching you could also top to get them bottom branches to start stretching also @XXX9 happy growing my friend
Outdoor project friend. Sacramento experiences up 115° in August & September. but they should have (God Willing) slowly acclimated to that temperature and the girls don’t get too stressed as I will only have a handful of soldiers out there n any tips keeping them cool in the outdoor weather would be appreciated ![]()
I grow in the same climtae as does @big123 . I’ve only had a few plants that didn’t like the heat - everything else if just fine… They actually love the heat. If it gets up over 105, you can throw a shade cloth over it during the hottest part of the day. Plenty of water, aloe and silca. Placing the grow bags on the dirt or plant them directly in the ground helps as well.
A few that come to mind that did really well were Purple Haze, Purple Punch, Acapulco Gold,.
You’ll also want to consider insect netting once they start to flower. That’s the time we get a lot of moths that make caterpillars that dig into your bud and give you bud rot!
Light 32 inches above 75 power sf4000 301 evo
Luv the info! Screenshot it too for future reference lol. Appreciate the strain recommendations too. My kush soul needs OG so I’m hoping the seeds I’m blessed with are tough considering she finickyy lol. Wish I had more space available to grow some tasty terps such as the purple punch even tho imo could use more potency but heyy I’ve never had a good cali outdoor sample of it so I like the possibilityy of that coming my way somedayy somehow. N good looking out for the bug info too!
Sativa, Haze, African, Afghan, and Hawaiian strains tend to be more heat-resistant since they originate from hot climates.
Plants that tend to grow tall, thing, and stretchy with narrow leaves (signs of Sativa heritage) tend to be able to handle the heat.
I’ve got a question about drying. Today is the 14th day since I hung a whole plant in my 2x4 tent with a small circulation fan and carbon filter exit fan. The tent is in its own room with a humidifier and the temperature stays 65° with 52 to 60% relative humidity in the tent. Today being the 14th day since I clipped and hung it, I’ve been checking the branches and they are still bendy with no snap. Is this a normal amount of time. Any advice is welcomed. Thanks
Yer totally right! Thanks for jogging the old nogan lol. I’d love some a legit Afghani cut now that I know she can thrive out here in the heat. But I’m so set on some either Black Kushh from Cali Connection, Alien OG & another gassy piney OG. Still have time to decide till next month lol. Since I wanna start from seed so I can be with my babies from start to finish lol. I’m aware that they perhaps for OG the best expression is indoors or maybe greenhouse to notch down the ideal environment for said cuts. N idk…it’s my 2nd time growing herb outdoor but I’ll have some land instead of a apt patio as well as putting in as much respect n info n giving these girls the best chance for their health/happiness
I am planning my grow as well Tulare County, it gets hot. I did a semi outdoor grow last year. My experience is plants were getting big, way bigger than indoors.
Also getting more insects, the worms are the worst, threw plants in trash. When you see that worm in your bud it really pisses a person off.
Also due to heat got kind of larfy buds, but they were still pretty good.
Ok, heat, get a net that blocks about 30% sun and should be good. Or put plants in an area they can shade during hot sun.
Big deal is worms, go get some Monterey BT or triazenine bt. Spray early and do preventative sprays throughout grow.
The other pests can be taken care of with Growers Ally, kind of a trifecta that will take care of mites and loopers. Same thing, do a preventative maintenance.
Heat can be dealt with especially if in pots and can move to shade etc… Insects buggest problem lol.
That’s interesting, and I have no clue what I am looking at ![]()

lol
I’m fucking wit ya lil set up! Homie got the whole desk to sit and trim n jar in that mf ![]()
That’s just a table I made in junior high school that the camera sits on and the hygrometer so I can keep an eye on the temperature and humidity.
You’d have to be some kind of midget to sit at that table or in that tent.![]()

I am a first time grower. I have an AC infinity tent. I am growing Cherry Lemon Cookies. I’m about 80% milky with lots of purple Trichomes. Most of the pistils had gone brown but now I’m getting new white pistils and new bud growth. Strong smell from the plants. Is new growth a bad sign?
Nice looking plant,
New growth in a bud once mature is a sign and called foxtailing
Yes, fox-tailing. It is usually brought on by heat/light stress or letting them go too long. Do you have a scope or loupe to look at the trichomes? Hard to tell form all the purple in there
Botched my first grow, now I just want know when I can harvest and start again ps. Photos come out bad but all leaves fell off
