Most are close, but the longer they sit on the shelf, the more they’ll increase pH from lime and fungal influences. Inputs matter. Something like ProMix that is just peat, lime and perlite would fall to the lower range as a soilless medium.
Hey there. So this is my first grow and im just winging it… Im seeing some yellowing on a few of the lower leaves and slightly drooping. Im not sure if anything is wrong but would just like some experienced eyes to see and maybe give me some advice…
Ok so these are Afghan fems from ilgm. They are one month old and are in 7 gal felt pots in Roots Organic and give them filtered water that test 0.0 on a tds meter. And each one has its own 150 watt jamsung light on 50% on 18/6
@Ryan0033 welcome to the family. Is all your plants doing the same how often do you water
All but one and ive been giving about 1/4 gallon every three days. I think i over watered last time because they been drooping since.
@Ryan0033 you want wet to dry cycle. then when you water the size of them probably take half gallon at least. When it drys out fill the weight of it then after you water fill of it again then it help you out
Is that Roots Lush or Original? Did you transplant? Are they autos or photo-fems?
This is a ~45 day up autoflower of a different strain (that was topped and had the bottom nodes removed on day 24, after being transplanted day 15 from a cup) in less than 4g of Roots Lush for ref…18/6 under a 300w bar light @75% and ~20" away:
Its Roots Original, no i did not transplant because its my first grow and i didnt know better. I popped the seeds in a paper tower and put the straight in 7 gal pots. But by some miracle there still alive… lol i feel slightly overwhelmed but ive been reading and learning nonstop. They are Afghan photo-fems from ilgm. I think i answered your questions.
I think you get your watering straightened out you be good @Ryan0033
Anyone know why it’s growing like this ?? Short stems slow growing leaves … everything seems bunched up … should I raise light ? Autos
You’re doin okay so far by the looks of them. Sorry, I don’t grow photos so I won’t speculate advice I’m not confident in but your additional details should get some of the knowledgeable photo growers on here to chime in.
Some just do that… you can try and raise the lights to see what happens.
You can also do some lst on her now and spread her out to let the lower leaves get more light.
How high are your lights from the plants and what percentage are they at?
About 12-15 inches and it’s only a 100W
You could try raising your lights and see if it helps, do you have the light cranked up to 100%? Ive noticed some plants dont want very much light during veg and then do a total 180 during flower. Also, what light cycle are you running them at? 24/0, 18/6, 16/8, or 12/12?
Yeah this light has no dimmer so yea it’s at 100, but also maybe I was under watering. And I’m running 18/6…. It’s a 5 gallon pot and basically at the one month mark In a few days
Then I have these two … that were planted one day after … under same conditions besides pot size (3 gallon) & should be “same seeds”
Idk your numbers, your feed rates, what your feeding them, etc. But going off of just knowing theyre squatting and not showing any nutrient deficiencies, im going to guess the lights are too close or the intensity is too much. Back the light off a few inches or decrease the hours theyre exposed to the lights (dont go under 12 hours light unless youre ready to flip). My advice since you cant control the light power, either new lights where you can or purchase a meter to measure the light intensity.
Seeds won’t be the same ever. Only clones are identical to the mother. It’s like my sister and I have the same mom and dad but we are 100% different
Thanks will see if that helps
Random question but you have any information on any strains that can survive specifically Sacramento CA heat?
