For value I would say kingbrites that’s why I buy them, don’t get anything with UV it’s a waste.
3500k w/ reds and far red will do.
Hlg is great, but I think they are overpriced but the quality may be a bit better.
Nothing that the average user will notice.
Probably other lights fall into the same category but after switching from hlg to kingbrites there has been no reason to get anything else.

Check out an app called SHOP. It links you to every website store and keeps track of your packages and receipts and invoices all in one place. It even has payment plan options. They will give you a loan with an apr of course but when your in a pinch and need a 700 dollar grow light you can pay 50 bucs and its on your doorstep the next day or 2. Just make the monthly installments to get it payed off. The SHOP app enabled me to get over 1k of lighing for 150 bucs up front. Not bad…
Once you’ve installed the app or not. Thats up to you but just make sure your getting 200 watts per plant. I purchased all HLG lights because they dont fail.

Live in NYC
Growing some photoperiod white widow outdoors and few Elixir autos -3 to be exact
Autos I just planted like end of July (late I know but I should be able to get them in before Oct)
The widow photo has been outdoors since end of June - so it’s about 6 weeks old at this time
In 5 gallon fabric
Doing well - no deficiencies from what

There are no sacs showing so that’s good.
I had a few other plants same strain.
They were all males so I composted them
Hopefully this one is fem and I can keep it going !
So far the node spacing is good… I’ll be interested to see because I’ve been watching stipules to see if I can get a better guess on sexinf.
So you think based on node spacing it would be female ? Or no idea.?
Any suggestions on ways to slow down the drying process? I am stuck with temps 75 to 80F. I tried a wedryer, but the buds were almost ready to jar in two days. Could I dry in a box or some other method to slow down the process?

From my understanding from Bruce node spacing is due to light intensity and spectrum.
There are DNA leaf tests thst cost 10$, in the future if you run regular seeds ide highly recommended them.
@Nicky I’ve just noticed that the boys seem to have different node spacing and seem to grow quicker. I know genetics and light are the main factors … just an observation. I only noticed it when I grew reg seeds out and was able to compare the plants to each other. I didn’t really mean to imply that was a ‘sign’… it just made me think it was too soon to tell.

I have a friend that is growing 2 G13 Pineapple Express autos. One is mainly green but the other is definitely reddish. It has always looked a bit different. Can each plant be that different (being a hybrid)?

Plant 100 seeds from the same source and see how many pheno you get… This is why when someone sells you a seed of a famous strain its actually all bs marketing…
There is no G13 or pineapple express other than the one single plant that ever existed and the clones of that plant.
Anyone selling a seed of a generic strain is selling you junk.
Find breeders that sell novel seeds, this where real quality genetics are emerging.
