These two are 21 days old and I really am not sure when to transplant to their new final pots, maybe I should give them another week or longer? I am thinking a 5 gal as the final pot?
Yes, I always move mine as soon as the leaves pass the edge of the cup. You will see when you take em out the roots will probably be starting to get wound up at the bottom
Yes. Leaves reach sides of cup. You are good to go!
@MeEasy beat me too it!
5 gallon final pots should be good, I’d transplant into maybe a 1 gallon, then into final 5 gallon later. If all you have is final pots should be ok
How do you plan to grow them(straight up, scrog, LST, HST? What yield do you want? and Answer these simple questions the best you can.

Hi and thank you for the reply, These are ILGM GG auto flower, I have my inside 4x4x80 tent with 1 1000k cheap LED grow light some have told me its a 180 real watt. Using 18/6 with 75 degrees day temp and RH around 45-50%, the 6 hour dark period temp is at 68-69 degrees and RH at 35%, I have a small 150 cfm fan taking air out with a small fan blowing air at the plants very mild breeze on them.I have a small humidifier also. I will be using fabric pots with going to Nector of the Gods # 4 soil , the seedlings were started in Foxfarm potting soil. I have ajusted my water to 6.4ph but have not given any nutrients until transfer. I have Foxfarm trio and will super thrive for the transplant watering. I grew 50 years ago but never like this…lol, these girls are 21 days old
I think you are asking alot from the single light. Other than that it sounds like you have your ducks in a row
Thank you, I am keeping a daily log of any changes, watering, etc,etc, yes I have to look into a better led light but as a senior on fixed social security income money is shall I say scarce…do you have a suggestion for a moderate led light, I just cant break the bank…
Thank you on the input, going to replant later today…hopefully…
Oh yes I definitely hear you about fixed income. I moved indoors just over two years ago and I just last month bought my second spider farmer sf2000 which are mid mid level LEDs and I still have my two original $100 600w blurples I’m going to use for supplement light during flower in a 4x4.
I personally like the spider farmer lights mainly because they after two years replaced my brother’s light with no questions asked. Also they use the same high quality parts the higher end light companies use.
I make a determination like that based on the root ball, not just the top of the plant.
I’m also unlikely to up-pot from a solo cup to a really large container. Like @Dave101 advised, I go to a #1, then a #3, then a #5. There are benefits to doing it like that, such as getting to adjust soil amendments (if in soil), and also creating a stratified root zone.
Ahh , I see the phases of stepping up each time actually helps the plant, thank you!
