Do autoflower seeds have to go under grow lights or can they go directly into pots outside after they have sprouted? These autos will be grown outside in south Florida. Advice appreciated.
What’s up… West Palm in the !! LoL
Autoflowers can go outside absolutely. Be great if you could get them a couple inches tall before throwing them out to the wolves. The real question is the humidity and bugs. Gotta be on top of them and in a pot be best. Good luck and welcome again neighbor😷
Thanks, but do you put the seedling under grow lights or can I put them outside and skip the lights?
You can put them straight outside but many things like to eat seedlings. Many things also will kill seedlings like heavy rains that we get so much of, bugs of all kinds, wind and cats to name a quick few. LoL I’m not trying to scare you honestly I just want to stress how much better of a chance they have with just 2 or 3 weeks head start.
Great advice. How many hours a day under the grow lights for the seedlings? Should they be about 14 inches away from the lights? Thanks
Seedlings can go 24/0 for a week or 2 with absolutely no Ill effects (some even prefer it) to start but most ppl do 18/6… to keep it simple and normal just do 18/6 and you’ll be perfect. Get them as big as ya can before putting them outside for good for the best chance of survival.
Oh and the light?? Depends what kind it is, is it dimmed down? CFL or fluorescent go to within a couple inches. But most LED’s start around 2’ . Remember it’s easier to bring a light down when a plant is stretching then it is to cook it and start over. LoL
Welcome! And what strain is it? It dosen’t have any bearing on your questions, I’m just curious!
Yeah I run 16/8
