Has anyone used the bloom plus lights ? I need a light for 2’ x 5’ closet. I’m also looking at the ES 180 v by Electric Sky . The ES 300 is a lil to much out of my range. Thanks to everyone for being willing to share their info !
Plants will perform best under lights built with Samsung LM301 series diodes.
I’d find 2 - 200w fixtures.
Ok so rry for jumping in this thread…after my half ass outdoor attempt with auto for the first time…and winter is coming (pun intended) im gonna knock the cobwebs out my room. So im in the market for leds any suggestions on good cheap lights for 35sqft area. I have 2- 1000w hps and 2- 400w mh i run 10yrs ago just looking yo get with the times and save money … i have a $400 budget
As far as I know the Green Sunshine Company went out of business. So if there’s ES-300’s or 180’s out there for sale, make sure it’s legit before you pay.
An HLG 350R would be an awesome choice for a 2 x 5 closet grow!
HLG 260xl kit
I have a BP 2500 light that is the first fixture I bought 2 years ago when getting ready for my first grow. The only thing I have used it for is as a veg/seedling light at first and as I discovered this place, I purchased 2 HLG 260xl rspec light fixtures. The Bloom Plus light uses cheaper diodes, 2835s I think, instead of the Samsung 301 diodes. I am using it in my 4x4 in the middle of the tent in between the 2 HLG lights, so supplementing my main lights. I have not tried flowering cannabis under it by itself. I don’t think it is a bad product, it works, but I wouldn’t buy it again. I have heard and believe it’s true that the best place to spend your money in this hobby is in your lighting. I just looked at the Horticultural Lighting Group website and the same fixtures I have from them are $200 which is much cheaper than when I got mine. That is $50 more than the Bloom Plus, and it is a kit you have to put together. Seeing that price I would order another one of those kits for myself if I had $200 right now. It is an excellent choice for a 2x4 tent to flower in. I am pretty handy at putting stuff together so the kit light isn’t intimidating for me. I like that company because if a driver fails on the light, they are in the US and can respond quickly. There also used to be a 10 percent discount code (maybe it was DUDE or DUDE10) not sure if that still happens. This is what my lighting set up in my 4x4 tent looks like right now.
The next most important thing after getting your light should be a ventilation fan to remove the air constantly from inside the grow area to the outside of your home.
Thats a nice set up…lights are my thing im an electrician by trade . I have all the other stuff vent, humidifier, air filters. I just want to update my lights to led …thanks for help there so many on the market it hard to choose
Well than these would be easy for you. My Dad was an Electrician, so you can imagine how my teen-aged years were spent. Check out the HLG site, they have many different lights to choose from. They often have some refurbished fixtures on sale as well.
