If you follow this list with the measurements i gave (not the ones pictured) you’ll be fine. Theres definitely room to play around and do your thing. If you feel like moving onto the master recipe after that then by all means, but they het pricier
I used an for a couple grows and the only thing i didn’t like was the plastic containers all leak at the cap.
sorry for the late reply I was not on yesterday
Normally I’ll run voodoo juice one time a week through flower week 7 .
Bud Candy is microbial feed. I alternate days with voodoo juice. One feed voodoo juice the next feed Bud Candy. They work hand in hand so to speak. Bud Candy feeds voodoo juice.
A lot of people start with the three part and then end up with Sensi. I personally haven’t tried it but I know lots of people that use it and it’s very good.
I use Sensizym religiously in week 8 and 9 of flower I I don’t flush I just take the nutrients away a few weeks before harvest. I will use Sensizym until the last week. I tried flawless finish I noticed no different so I basically just stop using it.
RO water is a very wise choice as it gives you total control of what goes into your plant
That’s a good question. If I have fed the appropriate amount of nutrients and additives in my ppms are still short I always go back and add base nutrients to make up the PPM value.
As far as calcium magnesium goes I use 150 PPM every time I water/feed then I never get deficiencies from calcium or magnesium. As far as Epsom salt goes I use it 2 times during the entire grow. Week 1 of flower and week 6 of flower and I use 200 PPM.
@MedLifeCrisis ith advanced nutrients you’ll notice they have their base recommendations for feeding both quantity and frequency.
I personally after much testing came up with my own system of feeding what and how much and when. I agree with @MedLifeCrisis Sensi2part definitely has a little better mpk value then the three-part base. I may eventually end up switching down the road.
It’s always important to remember never to pH here feeds when using advanced nutrients pH perfect. It will cause serious issues.
When you feed and you see a low or high PH runoff ignore it
Hello everyone
I am pleased to have found this forum.
After a short search, I found many answers to questions about cultivation that I had had for a long time. And this thread, for example, is exactly what I was looking for.
I’ve now had a run with Advanced Nutrients and although I had no idea about their nutrients beforehand, the results are good and I see the potential behind them
Next time I try, I would like to adapt my nutrient solution better without pouring in everything AN offers.
I have been using Coco as a medium for some time and watering Drain to Waist by hand with a 10L watering
can Maybe some experienced AN users could take a look at it, give their opinion and answer a few questions.
I’ve learned a lot from @Lostgirl by reading
It’s also important to mention that I STILL water with tap water. An osmosis system is planned for the end of the year
My water values
PH 7.5
EC 458µS/cm (0.4)
Ca 67mg/l
Mg 18mg/l
As long as I use tap water, I would use half of the information provided (for main fertilizer 2 instead of 4ml and additives 1 instead of 2ml/)
Or should I start the EC 0.4 and add the fertilizer until I get to the desired value (e.g. flowering to 2.2 So enrich the water with 1.8 EC nutrients)
I would use the following fertilizers
Sensi Coco Grow/Bloom A+B
Big Bud Coco
Overdrive
As additives
Voodoo Juice
B52
Sensizyme
Rhino Skin
Diamond Nectar
Humic
My Questions
Rhino Skin
I got a few ideas from Cocoforcannabis He adds silicates to his nutrient solution, so would RS be the silicate fertilizer in AN? Good product?
Fulvic/Humic
As far as I understand, important microorganisms
Find it in some fertilizer instructions from experienced users.
Ancient Earth seems like a Source for AN But no one really uses it and instead uses other manufacturers
Why is this and are they important on Coco?
I try to cover everything the plant needs without over-fertilizing it or filling it with too much manure
I gave up Budbooster for now
How important is a Wetting agent?
Can it cause me to have to water more often?
I have planned to grow in an 11L pots and hope to water once a day.
Should I plan twice?
Can I use this nutrient solution?
Should I change, add or note anything else?
I hope that you can help me a bit and thank you in advance for any tips
I’ve probably forgotten a few things that I have questions about, but for now that’s all
Greetings
Kreeze
and sorry my english is not my native language
Thanks!!! This is so great info!!! I was going to start monitoring pH actually on this grow, but it’s just trouble with the pH perfect stuff? Also is it still safe to pH up/down on my plain water days or have you seen that cause issues too?
Good questions. When you have a water only day and you are not utilizing advanced nutrients pH perfect nutrients then yes, you will pH your water to 6.5
I can’t emphasize enough how important it is not to pH when using the nutrients. (No matter what it says your pH is)
Hi Kreeze, I’m out in the vegetable garden working. You got a lot of questions there. I’ll take the time later today to answer as much as I can. Thank you for your patience
Thx
take your time There’s really no rush My garden is currently in the 7th week of flowering So it will be at least 3 weeks before I start the next run
No problem. Also the fact that you grow in Coco and I have no idea what the effects of any nutrients are with coco as I’ve never used it. I’m going to be limited on what I can answer when it comes to Cocoa.
On your bottle of nutrients from advanced nutrients is an 800 number. A really good friend of mine Roy who’s been with advanced nutrients for over 20 years runs the customer support line.
This guy’s been growing for over 30 years. I would feel more comfortable if you would take the time to call their toll-free number. You can ask for Roy or anyone answers the phone will help.
When it comes to Coco there’s a lot of different things you should and should not do and I just don’t know them.
Once more I will answer what I can but I highly suggest you call Roy at advanced nutrients he will have you totally understanding the nutrients and Coco combination like a professional!
Thank you very much for your efforts I will consider the option of customer support. I was aware of the possibility, but my English isn’t the best when it comes to speaking it and it’s probably too limited when topics like nutrients come up. (if it seems different here, thank you to Google Translate ) reading and understanding is no problem but it should work in writing with support So far I haven’t been able to detect any typical Coco symptoms such as Cal/Mag deficiency. AN should have adapted the Coco Line to the main fertilizer so that it can be used like the usual Sensi. I will also ask AN’s chatbot (very useful part … but only discovered when I surfed the international site)
if you see it as a “normal” Sensi Grow/Bloom could i work with it?
Advanced nutrient sensi 1 and 2 are now available in Coco version. Nevertheless, if you have the regular it is okay for Coco. It’s been updated and it’s own Coco version.
Roy is Spanish and very difficult to understand as well. I’ve known him for 10 years he’s a great guy so if you speak Spanish he can help you there as well.
Rhino skin is one of those products that you can find much cheaper elsewhere. There’s nothing special about advanced nutrients rhino skin it’s just silica. I use what’s called Bloom city silica and it works just as good if not better. It can be found on Amazon for more than half the price
With soil it’s important with coco like I said it’s one of those questions I’m not going to be able to answer I have no idea.
Most people that I know that grow in Cocoa water twice a day. (This is why I don’t use coco)
This is another one I’m not sure of how to treat the microbial life in Coco.
You may want to also start your own Post in the forum related to Coco. There’s a lot of knowledgeable Coco guys on here!
This is for all the people who are new to advanced nutrients or thinking of starting advanced nutrients
Advanced nutrients hit it out of the park with their base nutrients pH perfect system it got instantaneous global recognition and of reputation of being one of the best nutrients on the market.
The reason I’m pointing this out is because people go crazy buying their additives. And if you bought them before it can get deep in your pocket!
Many of their additives like calcium magnesium, yucca, Rhino skin Ect. Are truly no different than your value brand
If you’re using advanced nutrients feel free to buy whatever you want it’s your money. But I’m going to help you out, below is a list of must have products from advanced nutrients.
PH perfect base nutrients (micro grow bloom) or the Sensi version
Voodoo juice
Bud Candy
Big buds
B-52
Sensizym
It’s in my opinion these products are a must have and I have had so much success it’s unbelievable.
From the list above you can have successful grows year in and year out. The only other things that I suggest that you can get elsewhere
Calcium magnesium
Epsom salt (used twice in a grow)
Silica
Yucca
Keeping it simple when growing weed is always the easiest way to succeed.
I hope this helps
I was actually helped just by finding the forum.
Your knowledge of AN has answered some questions and confirmed assumptions.
I will post this thread in the Coco forum and maybe someone can help me specifically about the application to Coco
Who knows, maybe I’ll switch to soil again.
I like growing with Coco, but the work involved in watering DTW by hand twice a day should not be underestimated
But when the osmosis system is in the house, the step to automatic irrigation would no longer be worth it.
Let’s see… there is always something to do in the garden
Thank you very much @Lostgirl for taking your time
There are a lot of know-it-alls who just want to force their opinion on you, so it’s a relief to meet people like you
