OK, how messed up is this? I woke up last night from having a dream that a hurricane hit my house, tore my deck right off of the @#$% building, and that all of my plants pulled a Mary Poppins and blew away! (pic for the younger generation who might not be familiar with the reference)
At first light I’m out with my plants and pair of scissors in my hands, thinking ‘I’ve got to protect my crop!’ Then I woke up a little more fully and swapped the scissors for a magnifying glass. Pistils are maybe 50% brown. D@mnit…
I’m going to give it 2 more feedings over the next 4 days, then flush with water for a week, then harvest, and the whole time I’ll be hoping that my plants don’t blow away in the next windstorm (real OR imaginary)!

An “Oh @#$!” moment… and a question.
The “Oh @#$!” moment…
So this leaf caught my attention today. It’s on the top cola, at an angle that is difficult for me to inspect due to my stealth grow setup.
Had a closer look…
After a few seconds of denial, I’m thinking I probably have bud rot.
The question…
I figure I should just harvest now before I run into more problems. I’m around day 90 and I’m already in the home stretch.
However, this is my main cola. It’s a @#$% monster bud and I’m proud of it - it’s the first plant that I’ve ever grown to maturity and I’m not to proud to say that I’ll need a box of @#$! cleanex if I need to lose the whole cola. So… do I have to chuck the whole cola? Or can I cut out the the bud rot and a healthy buffer above and below the infected area?
Your thoughts (and moral support) would be greatly appreciated.

Someone else just posted about this as well, I wanna say it was @Majiktoker
But I believe you can cut the rotten part out, and keep close watch to see if it spreads or grows from that area. You should be able to save the cola, but if you do need to cut it off, the rest of your plant can still be harvested without a problem.

Thanks for weighing in. I believe the earlier post was me - put this in the wrong thread.
I chopped the top cola - just no way to easily inspect the whole thing without hanging off the 3rd story of a building.
I’ll go through the whole cola carefully, chuck anything that is even remotely close to the mold, and then dry it in a separate area in case more signs of mold appear.

So this was my top cola. Cut it off, then thought ‘screw it’ and cut the rest of the plant as well.
Had to say goodbye to some nice bud.
But wound up with enough to keep me amused till my next grow finishes in a few weeks.
Everything is hung up and all I can say is ‘Man does it stink up the place’

Getting awfully close to harvesting plant number 2…
This one was stunted due to root damage, but surprise surprise it managed to catch up nicely.
