Apera pc60 help

Right, close enough 50 parts per million…

See why I’m confused it keeps being weird and I can’t figure it out.

IIRC, my PH60 will read either, cyclically as you press the mode button.

Which is why I measure EC, and use the conversion table.

Here is where they say how to change it. You’re looking to change P5 from .7 to .5

Ok ill do that now then share readings.

In the most basic way to put it,

Turn off meter
Hold power button to enter parameters
Short press mode until you get to P5
Wait for the screen to flash
Short press mode until it’s set to .5
Then press cal to accept.

Done, doing readings now

OK, I had to go get my PC60 out and look at it, and I think I may know what is confusing you. The meter (by default) measures both TDS and Salinity in ppt. As you step through the modes. They are pH, EC, TDS, SAL(inity).

As both are in ppm, make sure you are reading TDS - they are easy to confuse. And by default it is in Truncheon (700) scale.

After switching my apera to 500 scale here is readings

I have been making sure it’s on tds

Now check that with your 1400ppm solution.

I don’t have 1400 ppm solution, these are are solutions

The 1413 micro siemen solution

Make sure you switch to ec. Should give you an ec of 1.4

Needs to be calibrated again. But it does match up with your ppm. 780 ppm is between 1.5 and 1.6. But it should be reading 1.4

I think my meter is broken. I’ve calibrated it 3 times since our conversation.

I never realized this meter was such a pain to read. Like I assumed it would give me a ppm reading like my $10 Amazon one. This is way to damn much just to get a ppm reading.
