Anyone know what this little caterpillar (or worm) is?

Fought these during my first grow in '21, and they are still around, though fewer pest issues this year. Getting close to chopping here in CO due to impending weather, been using CJDB. I’m just curious what these are, if anyone knows. I’ve never seen them get terribly large, and do see some occasional web strands and a few cat-turds here and there (though the ones I’ve seen I can’t imagine came out of this little guy, which is maybe 3/16" long).

Thanks for any info!

Dunno, but they are known for burrowing into buds and setting up a good environment for bud rot since moisture gets trapped in the holes they burrow.

It will be a big fat worm :bug: after it eats your buds. Squish it.:v:

I found three this year (SC) .found some bud rot ,maybe 1/4 zip worth on a lb plant.I was very diligent with capt jacks guess those little bugs want to survive.I squeezed em flat.
One can never be lazy with pests.in the blink of an eye they will ruin the best plants.it really amazes me how much crud and bug guts come out during a bud wash.
Being a long time outdoors grower bud wash went against everything I ever thought.but once you do it ,YOULL NEVER NOT DO IT.just my .02 cents.

Could it be a borer that goes into the stalk of a cannabis plant.

I do believe you are right (corn ear-worm), should have done that myself!
