Strictly for looks of course. I was looking at San Pedro, Peruvian Torch and Bolivian Torch. I’m leaning towards Peruvian Torch because of the blue/purple color. I’m in the northeastern US , so they would only be outside in the summer.
Tis a few I believe
I grow a few but none of those. I live near Palm Springs, Ca and see alot. In my opinion the Pilosocerus Azureus aka Blue Torch is the Bluest and has Golden needles. Just dont make Mescaline with any of those lol.
Heres my only Blue, Crested Myrtillocactus Geometrizans
And a Boobie cactus that get Blue
I know of two members off the top of my head and that’s @Budbrother and @Caligurl . Go check out their journals. Beautiful plants sir
Uh, huh, yeah right lol
in NE US, you will need to provide supplemental lighting and temp control during the winter or they will become etiolated.
So, I could use my spare grow tent? As long as they don’t get too big?
I’ve got a big patch of prickly pear I can’t get rid of lol … I don’t think the good kind grow in Australia . Not sure . Peace .
Just checked , no we don’t even have any native cactus at all . Something I never knew . San Pedro cactus is popular here and is widely grown …mmmmm
Yes. They grow very slowly so no worries LOL
Does dragon fruit count? I have yellow and red.
Beautiful
Wanna help with a bashed lopho willii I have?
Need to report in decent soil.
Tried a blend of ingredients recommended and it’s never done well
These boobies are from the mutated form of Myrtillocactus Geometrizans Montrose, my other is Crested instead of Montrose
That would depend on age mostly. How big? For mature they want 90-95% minerals. I use this mix with some fine sand and some coffee grounds.
Half dollar maybe, slight longated
Maybe 8yrs old
These Fricii are yr 7 and just went into minerals. Morgan dollar size exactly on 2x. These are in that mix but have about 30% organic to above
Nice
Now for my disaster…
It stretched on me last year and not sure why

Thought they like the shade

So maybe not quite half dollar

More light. Mine get full sun damn near all day.
Ok, my mistake.
Last time I did full sun I sun burned it and turned deep red.
But that was probably 5yrs ago
