I am growing six plants of Gold Leaf. Germination began 4/2/23, and they thrived under the light, especially once the Reefertilizer “Grow” kicked in. I began transition to outdoors around 5/10/23.
One of the plants showed signs of flowering after moving outdoors, so I cut back the top. It is a short plant, but has bloomed vigorously, and I switched to the “Bloom” nutrient. I considered harvesting in late June before we left for vacation, but the buds had continued to grow, so I let it go.
I’m gonna take 90% of her buds tomorrow. I’m wondering if the smaller buds might grow some more if I keep the plant alive after harvesting all the big buds.
I just dont see any buds that are anywhere near ready but i guess if ya wanted to you could cut some out put it under 18 hrs of light and get it to re veg
I appreciate your feedback. I had a third phase of blooms from the same plant. This pic was on 9/4/23. Total yield of just over 2 oz from a short plant that bloomed prematurely.
If I get another early bloomer in the future, I will let her go longer and see what happens. I was disappointed with losses from brown rot and white mold two years ago, so I’ve leaned towards taking them while still healthy and dry.
IMO, Potentially, she is an ideal candidate for re-vegetating.
Not dependent upon 3 harvest, but upon more bud removal and re-lighting requirement.
Just saying. Good potential, either way. I left too much ont the 11/22 re-veging group.
Bush ugly, but they lived. and went back to stretch and single leaf blades, before getting more healthy. Brutal pinch pull removal method utilized for dead stuff (left too many leaves, that eventually died brown.)
Mold buds could be removed, plant sprayed, cleaned of mold and then re-veged.
Or tossed and start again… I clone flowering ladies as much as possible, high cull or abandoned rate, for losers.
