Amount of Flower Power to one gallon of water?

Flower power is gonna be roughly a gram per gallon they have it as 0.5 per litre but also depending on which flower power nutrient and yes @kabongster that was me with the gold leaf

As far as soil, I use a mixture of Miracle Grow Moisture Control with a liberal amount of Organic Vermiculite. I’ve had very good success with this in the pass while using the older liquid concentrated nutes purchased thru ILGM.

This is about 2 weeks after transplanting from a Solo cup to a 10" pot with my feeding asper the feeding schedule chart. This is a WW seedling. I don’t remember the leaves being so lush from my previous grows. The plant so far is very healthy without any signs of over fertilization. :sunglasses:

There is a pdf guide for flower power posted on this site somewhere, I do not know why it is so hard to find. If I get the link I will post it.

Here is one link:

The link posted by @indoornewb is broken. However, It does take you to the flower power site. I found it difficult to navigate on mobile but this link should take you to the feeding schedule…

Flower Power Feeding schedule

There are two options (I could only see one on mobile). ā€œBIO LINEā€ AND ā€œBASIC LINEā€
Choose the latter…unknown what someone would use the BIO on.

Now for the amounts… I also mix it up in gallon jugs.
Since the schedule is listed in grams, and there is roughly 3.78 liters in a gallon, so I am taking the amount suggested times 3.5ish (reducing it to ~3.5ish to avoid over-feeding) and weighing that amount on a digital scale (in grams) to put into my gallon jugs.

Can I get any expert or greybush  replies, thoughts and is my math right?

Alright, I did some slightly hardcore mathing and I was hoping you guys on the forums could double check my work. Not to be a lurker, but I’ve been anon trolling this thread, trying to wrap my brain around these Flower Power fertilizers to see how much I’m actually supposed to use. If you want to see how I got from point A to point B, you can read my shorthand notes here:

Summary
  • 100 grams of granulated white sugar = 3.53 ounces (acquired from Google)

  • 100 grams of Flower Power Grow fertilizer = 3.52 ounces (acquired from the back of the packet)

This would mean that the Grow fertilizer weighs 99.717%~ the weight of granulated white sugar, which is great because now we have our numbers for determining how much fertilizer to use.

So knowing this:

  • 1 teaspoon of sugar = 4.2 grams

  • 4.2 x 0.99717 gets us 4.188114 grams of Grow fertilizer per teaspoon

  • For 1/2 teaspoon, simply divide 4.2 in half, then multiply 2.1 by 0.99717 to get a half teaspoon measurement of 2.094057 grams of Grow

I could go on with more but that’s unnecessary.

BrockSamson ā€œNow for the amounts… I also mix it up in gallon jugs.

Shout out to this guy ^ for multiplying the amount necessary/liter by amount of liters/gallon.

If these numbers are accurate then you would want to dissolve approximately:

  • ~0.18 teaspoons/liter (3/4 of a 1/4 teaspoon oughtta do it, like, kinda full but not really)

  • or ~0.68 teaspoons/gallon.

For those that either, don’t trust online math, or just want a Horatio that is both easy to make and super safe, I’ve got you covered. Dilute 0.625 teaspoons (1/2+1/8 teaspoons) in one whole gallon. This might underfeed them slightly, but it certainly won’t kill them, and it has a high consistency across batches.

Edit: My wife wanted me to offer simple Horatios other than just ā€œamount of teaspoon(s) per x volume of waterā€. So I have some numbers based on ā€œvolume of water per x amount of teaspoon(s)ā€ as well, and you can find those here:

Summary
  • 1/2 teaspoon : ~3/4 gallon or 1/2 teaspoon : ~2.8 liters

  • 1/4 teaspoon : 1/3~ gallon or 1/4 teaspoon : ~1.4 liters

  • 1/3 teaspoon : ~1/2 gallon or 1/3 teaspoon : 1.8~ liters

For batch dilution (only the Horatio matters, so long as it’s dissolved properly):

  • 1 teaspoon : ~1.5 gallons or 1 teaspoon : ~5.6 liters

  • 1.5 teaspoons : ~2.2 gallons or 1.5 teaspoons : ~8.4 liters

  • 2 teaspoons : ~3 gallons or 2 teaspoons : ~11.2 liters

For the #UltraBatch:tm:, assuming batches even work:

  • 3.33 teaspoons : ~5 gallons or 3.33 teaspoons : ~18.6 liters

Note: this math was based around the Flower Power Grow fertilizer specifically. I’m not certain the others would weigh more or less but if they do, that would mean different math…

As a disclaimer: this is my first grow that I’m working on, and I’m new to the forums too. I bought the ww beginner’s kit thingy and wrapping my tiny brain around these fertilizers has been a nightmare. My plants are 3 weeks in and I haven’t used them at all because I’ve been afraid to kill my plants! I haven’t actually used the numbers listed here, and I would be grateful if anyone is willing to double check my math. I’m going to start using this myself, but if someone could confirm, or even let me know if someone else already did this, that would be swell.

Another disclaimer: all of my math was done using the required amount of fertilizer for soil grow. I would have to redo some of my work for hydro, and I really don’t want to right now. PM me for specific grow setups and I’ll try to hash out some nutrient numbers and whatnot.

Edit: Of course, you’ll want to adjust your fertilizer quantity based on ph and ppm readings in your local water or desired water source.

I haven’t used them , but hogmaster and latewood have. Matter of fact I believe @latewood has ran a side by side with the flower power and is reporting that flower power is superior @TacticalGrow420

@TacticalGrow420 is just about right on the money 1/4 - 1/2 tsp is what I was using per gallon

Ah, so close! Do you think my measures might be overkilling it? :grimacing:

Not at all

How much FP per gallon.
Start: 1/2 tsp. per G
Grow: 1/2 tsp. per gallon
Bloom: 3/4 tsp per gallon
Boost 1/4-1/2 tsp per G added to the Bloom for 2 weeks…week 5,6,7 or 8 depending on strain. You want to have boost added at least with 4 weeks left before harvest.

Due my legal blindness I have not read all replies. This is how it measures out. For future re: There is a feeding schedule posted in the shop. It is by EC.TDS. I measured 1/4 tsp. at a time to come up how much it took to arrive at the suggested ppm or Ec. Pretty simple.

Good Luck
