Amber trichomes are smaller than the cloudy and clear ones?

I’m growing 3 autos (Bruce Banner, Tangerine, White Widow) in coco coir, FF hydro ferts, indoor, now at day 71 of flowering (day 106 overall). The pistols are mostly brown, and the fox tailing on one of the girls (Bruce Banner) had subsided.
I am starting to see a few amber trichomes - more in some buds and few or none in others). But the amber trichomes generally have smaller heads than the clear or cloudy - as if they have shrunken.
These are clear and cloudy:

Here we see a few amber:

and some more amber:

Is it normal for the amber trichome heads to be smaller?

Mine all have different size trichomes, no matter the color. It looks great.

Your picture show a sugar Leaf. I wouldn’t trust the trichome production on a sugar Leaf as it far supersedes production versus the actual bud.

I would try to get behind the leaf or an easier area that’s clearly bud.

The size of your Amber is not going to matter one way or the other.
