I have 3 babes, 2 are supposed to be white widow (shorter 2) and the third is unknown, one looks about ready now to me but the other 2 may need another few days or a week, just looking to get your opinion as this is a first time for me. I know the lighting is horrible in the pics, but the grow light is affecting my camera shots.
What size pots are you growing in because you definitely did a great job to say it’s your first grow . Looks like somebody gone have plenty of work trimming . But now it’s almost time to harvest and cure . If you not starting another grow right after , I’ll take advantage of curing in the tent with the lights off , hang for 7-10 days , humidity about 70-75 degrees , than jar it for another 14 days , and you gone be a happy toker !!!
Hi
I started out in small pots and transplanted them into a 6" pot for the veg stage and then 10" pots about a week or 10 days before we went to the flower stage. I have to say the biggest challenge has been the electric bill lol I used a 600 watt grow light, can anyone suggest something a bit cheaper for my next try?
Thanks Will, not liking $400+ electric bills a month that is for sure. A huge thank you to Robert and the rest of you here on the sight, I could not have done this without the grow bible and all the tips!! Thank you!!!
The only to avoid monthly cost on light bill would be LED . Now there are plenty models on the inter-web , but for as myself I run an Advance Led light XTE 350 and it works great . But MacGyverstoner is the LED specialist if you want to cut price and build your own . Black dog I hear is good , Kind is good , Spectra King is good , which might be my next light , of course Advance Led lights , and a few more names out there which have put out great results . You can also run big wattage CFL lights that will cut cost . The metal halide lights they say is the next best thing compare to direct sunlight , but they put out heat and the used a lot of kilo watts .
Hello Gentleman
This is my first attempt at some WW autoflowers.
Trichromes just started to turn milky and was wondering how long before they might start to change to amber.
plants are 11 weeks old and I am just giving water to get ready for harvest.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Grew these just from reading all your post here, love the info
Thanks
It’ll be any time now so keep an eye on her. Do you have anything to help with the finish?
Did you flush them real good yet? I use flawless finish.
It helps the plant to rid it of sugar and other nutrients stored by the plant so. That it uses it up for a better tasting smoke and smooth smoke not harsh.
Will
Hi Will
Nothing to help with finish, will look in to it for next grow, when do you use the flawless finish? If I flush now will the buds continue to get a little bigger even with no nutes? And another question, use general hydroponics grow-micro-bloom nutrients. Should I be using a bud booster or something? Main colas right now are about a foot long and 4 to 5 inches wide and nice and tight.
Also on topic of ventilation. During dark period can I have my exhaust fan with filter shut off with the lights as long as I keep fan going in tent. Smell not a problem during the dark. Have plants on a 20/4 schedule. Next grow will be 18/6
Thanks for your input. Just trying to get ready now for the long winter ahead and do a couple more grows.
Peace
Wylie
Hey Wyle, I think I’em as excited as you are with that discription of your ladies…lmao
But no you can flush like I said in my last post the very last wk before harvest. It takes alot of the harshness out of your weed for a better smoke you can just use water. The plant will then use what it had stored still working on her buds till it’s gone.
Fan should be kept on to keep air flow moving the last thing you need is a mold problem.
To the Topic starter. I see strong white pistils in you piks. AS long as the plant is still producing new pistils, it is not ready to flush or harvest. Once the pistils (hairs) have turned Red; It is time to monitor the trichomes, as mentioned above. At that point it is up to you to determine the % of Clear, cloudy, and amber trichomes
Latewood
On some of the biggest buds hairs are pretty much change color and trichomes are getting milky. Smaller ones are still putting out some new pistils. Should I take the buds that are maturing faster off the plant and let the others grow longer? Want more of a head high thank couchlock.
Peace
Wylie
Hi Latewood and Garrigan
Been a long time since I needed advice thanks to all your help fro this site,
but I have a problem I cant quite figure out if this might be phosphorus, potassium or mag deficiency.
Doing the same I have been for the last 4 grows which yielded tremendous results.
Ph water at 6.4 to 6.5 runoff 6.4 ppm in 400-500 and about the same coming out.
This is about 2 1/2 weeks of flowering and seem to be doing ok.
Any Ideas.
Thank you, Wylie
